What Games Are You Playing?

I've always wanted to get back into FF14 as I loved the first month I played for (pretty much solid) but I know I wouldn't play it enough now to justify the monthly fee. That's why I kind of prefer the model Destiny uses as its more open to just diving back in for little bits.

Final fantasy 14 has tempted me so many times. I don't know if I could afford such a timesink now though.

<nostalgia>
Final fantasy 11 was a massive part of my college years & even now I get a feeling of nostalgia when I hear Ronfaure's tune & memories of arriving back after weeks out in the field.

Back when it was new the world was so beautiful and immersive for me. Sadly when world of Warcraft came out it crippled it & my friends all moved over to it. Tried it myself but it just felt like my first mmorpg compared to the unforgiving final fantasy 11. I stopped playing WoW a few months before they implemented weather .

I'm still playing FF14, it's the only MMO I've ever played past level 20, although I think the fact I'm playing it on the PS4 rather than the PC is a big part of why that is.

I've also restarted Persona 4 Golden so that should be fun.

I still play wow, although less and less. I have friends who are big on raiding, one day soon I may have to tell them that I can't be bothered anymore.

I hope the new FFXIV expansion does well, I feel that the game could really go the distance with a good bit of support. The only problem I have right now is that I can't remember how anything works! I might roll an alt, if only to play through the tutorial parts again.

So my flatmate who usually spends his time in the main room on his Xbox went home for the weekend and I decided it was a good opportunity to spend some time on my PS3 in there. Out of the list of games I had, I decided I should play Yakuza 3.

I started Yakuza 3 on Boxing Day 2014 but due to assignment work I had to put it on hold. I figured I should continue where I left off and finish it before the weekend ended. And after 16 hours 43 minutes total playtime I managed to finish the story mode. Like Metal Gear Solid and The Order 1886, this game is actually more story oriented than I expected (more story than gameplay if you just focus on the main campaign). I did try out some of the side quests and mini games but I wanted to focus on the story for the time being.

Good thing I have Yakuza 4 on disc since I can now play that game and prepare myself for Yakuza 5 this summer. It still baffles me that Yakuza 3 was not included with the list of Yakuza games to be made available on PSN (only Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls were confirmed).

This. If I started playing FF14 then I would not have time for any other games, and there are still loads that I want to try.

Finished Ni No Kuni yesterday. It's a decent enough game, gorgeous artwork and music (Joe Hisaishi ftw), but I never got into the very simplistic and childish story. The gameplay was mostly okay except for the battle system making things far more difficult than need be, especially during the last boss.

Still going on Ace Combat Infinity. A new event starts in a few days that sees special idolm@ster planes introduced. The communities reaction to that pink B2 stealth bomber was hilarious. The game is down for it's monthly maintenance until Thursday, which gives me time to get into my next game Valkyria Chronicles. I've heard nothing but good things about this game so my hopes are high (even if I am seven years late to the party).

Valkyria Chronicles is awesome, hope you enjoy!

I originally played it on the PS but got it on the PC in a recent Steam sale. I'm looking forward to trying it out with a mouse and keyboard as I much prefer that to a pad.

Been playing Persona 4 Golden and reached Shadow Kanji , don't remember it being such a pain in the ass last time but I guess I'm gonna need to go level a bit.

Looking forward to getting Helldivers tomorrow, so I'll be playing that.

Resident Evil Revelations 2.

Me like. Looking forward to "episode two"!

My Brother and I played Raid Mode last night and will probably continue to until it comes out now.

Completed episode 2 of Resident Evil Revelations 2 today, just so awesome <3

Made a start on Oreshika today, so glad I bought it, having so much fun playing through it.

So since last night. I have beaten two games, taking my total for the year up to 6! i want to try and beat 26 total this year at the very least.
Metal Gear Rising - Short but oh so sweet. combat is glorious and the final boss was a great challenge and adrenaline pumping. Will probably return to it for achievements later
Persona 4 Golden - So i kinda stalled on this one....by a year >_> but got round to finishing it just 5 minutes ago from posting this. It now sits happily in my top 10 games of all time. I will be platting this game without any hesitation. God it was so good.

As of now though, i'm just about to start Danganronpa which was lent to me and i'll be working on Majora's Mask and Persona Q as well! Probably work on Persona 4 arena and ultimax now too to get the entire storyline sorted, and then sit twiddling my thumbs for Dancing All Night

People thought I was crazy when I said it was prob my game of the year when it came out, it genuinely made me remember why I love gaming in the first place, just pure unadulterated fun, the nonsense going on on the screen just had me sitting there with a big goofy grin on my face and the soundtrack was magnificent....think I'll play it again soon actually.

Been playing Persona 4 Golden again, beat Shadow Kanji, starting to think I may have messed up my SL somewhere but I'm not after a perfect run or anything, still kinda annoying though.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 episode 2. Was good, looking forward to episode 3 as that preview was good. Mary McGlynn as the Overseeer too! She has the sexiest voice ever and I first heard it when she was Julia in Cowboy Bebop!

Still Playing Senran Kagura: SHinovi Versus and Citizens of Earth

With the former i've finished my first playthrough as the Gessen school and done the side stories for the girls. Don't know whether to try another school now or move on to another game and then come back later.

CItizens of Earth i'm about 15 hours in to. Only up to chapter 4 of 8, so loads left to do. Fun game.

To celebrate the recent announcement for Rock Band 4 and considering I want to get a PS4 rather than an Xbox One (for Japanese games pretty much being one of the main reasons), I bought Rock Band Blitz again. All the Blitz track are technically DLC so it will transfer to the fourth game. I'll also get some more tracks for the game obviously but unlike the 400+ songs I have on my 360 I'll get entirely (well mostly) different songs instead to differentiate between the two. For instance all 2015 DLC will be on my PlayStation while older DLC and Rock Band 1+2 library will remain on 360 since those codes are now expired (Green Day thankfully can be bought on the RB store).

I'll also get some tracks that I wanted to play but never really bothered to download years back like 'The Thrill is Gone' (B.B.King), 'The Arms of Sorrow' (Killswitch Engage), 'Wish You Were Here' (Incubus), 'Outshined' (Soundgarden), 'Hands Down' (Dashboard Confessional) and many more.

The first two DLC tracks I picked up for the Sony side of Rock Band were 'Impossible Landscape' and 'Moments of Clarity' both from Children of Nova.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - Picked it up this afternoon and got a good few hours in on it. My god it's good. The soundtrack is honestly feeling even better than the first games. So many good tracks. I also love the variety in gameplay thrown in too, it adds a bit of extra flavour and freshens it all up. I'm on the 12th stage, not sure how much more i have to go yet. It's meant to be fairly long in comparison to the first, so i could easily be only half way. Either way, more time with it is great

Dipped back into Danganronpa for a bit - the writing in that game is seriously masterful, from the whodunits themselves to making you care about even the most warped characters.

Episode 3 of Resident Evil Revelatins 2 came out yesterday so I'll be playing that tonight with my Brother. To make it fair I'm always Claire with him as Moira then he's Barry with me being Natalia seeing as Claire & Barry are the mains with more to do so we get to play evenly.
