What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Movies are the main thing that I wont pirate before buying. Don't worry guys though, finally getting crunchyroll soon and there are quite a few good shows that I want to watch there. Problem is that maybe I should be buying shows that I've already seen instead of new ones. Oh the woes of having pretty much 0 disposable income throughout the year. I hope that one day I can post my monthly pick ups on this thread :p. Lets hope that I get lots of money from selling my miniatures.
 
As someone who has went from no job to a part time minimum wage job to a full time non-minimum wage job in the course of about 3 months, it's the most satisfying feeling in the world.

And that's exactly why i try to avoid Amazon as much as possible for LE, CE ... uh well boxsets in general actually. Packaging is really really poor compared to how rightstuf or UP1 packages their stuff. They show more respect for the goods you buy from them.

Completely agree with this, in fact i received my copy of The Pilot's Love Song today, but hadn't checked the font yet with the movie. You see it's in those little details that you see the quality.

Photos of my set, looks like two drops of water like Ath's :mrgreen: , and the two other sets later today or tomorrow.

I've never had any issue with the packaging of discs from Amazon US, 95% of the time they turn up in secure cardboard. Maybe you've just been unlucky in that respect.
 
Still waiting on P3: Spring of Rebirth from Japan. Delivery window's up next Tuesday. Other than knowing it's the First Print Bluray version I've no clue as to its condition (what extra paraphernalia is included)

I think you'll probably have to send it back. I had something lost from them once and they replaced it,after a little while I got sent a email asking if it turned up and if it had to send it back. Don't know what they can do though if you tell them it hasn't but really has.

I am happy to report the box is indeed a solid chipboard box.

One difference between this set and the Madman set that might deter some people is the fact that the back with the synopsis and technical info and stuff is not on a piece of paper affixed to the box but is rather printed on the back of the box itself.
 
Persona 4 The Animation Collectors Edition: Bought from eBay for more than I was happy to pay but oh well, Chie on BD is never a bad thing I guess. I wasn't a huge fan of this series when I watched it to be honest, not sure why I bought it, but who knows maybe a rewatch will change my mind on it, it was a less than legal stream with less than great picture quality when I last seen it. As I expected there is a dent in the corner, but oddly it looks worse in the photo than it does with the naked eye :/ you can barely see it normally.

With that being said, it did arrive with annoying damage...

Not really sure how this could happen to be honest, the box was sealed and there is no damage to the outside box in that area but it is what it is, I'm sure I can replace the two cases.
 
I'd ping a message to the seller, with photos, with a simple message like 'It arrived slightly damaged, thought you might want some photos so you can claim compensation' and more often than not, they will give you a partial refund for the trouble, which can go towards buying new cases.
 
To be honest I assume the damage was done when it was shipped to her rather than when she shipped it to me as it came in a good box wrapped in loads of very good bubble wrap. As I say it was sealed so she wouldn't have seen the damage as the broken parts of the cases face the inside of the box. It's not a huge deal, just a slight annoyance.
