Dang, sounds like I was lucky mine got through unscathed, wouldn't have thought they'd look inside if it's marked up at $5.

Don't think I'll risk a big order like I did with the 4 blu-rays I got since you two got caught.
 
The ones that were single orders got through fine, so i'll do that instead of having 2 blu-rays in one order.

Arrived today. Shangri-La DVD LE and Shiki Part 1 LE.Tomorrow another package will arrive with some Part 2 and 3 items and one new LE, and hopefully Shiki Part 2 should also arrive tomorrow.

And so I finally got my Madman order. I noticed that disc 1 of K-On Part 1 has a small scratch on it. Going to hope this doesn't affect playback and it's just a surface scratch.

First i wondered why you went with the two parts of Nichijou and not the complete collection, but checking out the Madman website i see now why that was :wink:

Might place my first order on the Madman website soon, as it seems Nichijou will never get any release in the US or UK. Are there do's-and-don'ts for the Madman web shop ?

Picked mine up from supermart usa on Amazon UK. £21.88 + £1.26 per set... Cheaper than the uk version, the whole set is available, no customs with supermart, new and sealed and they managed to get it to me in 7 days from order. Seemed like a no-brainer.

To avoid customs you're best ordering each item separately, postage is $9.50/£4.50-£5 for each order whether it's one item or more.
 
Yeah, not only was the complete collection $20 AUD more expensive, the shipping on it is a bomb too compared to the 2 separate parts. In terms of tips, I'd agree with DragonBlaze, don't order too much in one go. I got hit with a £30 charge for those 4. I'd never do that again.

You know UP1 has the complete Nichijou collection. Would avoid any risk of a customs charge.
 
Thanks for the tips on Madman, and yes Emulsion i know the complete collection is available on UP1USA, i actually searched there. But actually ordering at Madman would be cheaper. On UP1USA the complete collection would cost me 55,66 USD and on Madman for the two parts 58,90 AUD, which comes down to 43,15 USD at the current rate.

Anyways, this is what i received yesterday. Even got an extra Yakitate art box from UP1USA even when i didn't ask for it. They told me they still have some spare art boxes for that show, so whoever wants one, contact them.

Yep, I noticed they had 8 in stock last week and jumped on it as I missed out on it for a long time and then couldn't find the LE anywhere, I assumed it was oop. Just had a look and it seems they're back to only having the standard editions again now though, unfortunately.

Same, still trying to resist replacing some of my UK editions with US LEs they have available at the moment.
