I think you'll enjoy it - I liked it a lot, its one of the few mecha series I actually enjoyed enough to purchase on Blu-ray - I even picked up the 3 Japanese box sets for the series and the matching 2-OVA box set, which do all have English subtitles.
Stackry time! Sailor Moon S means I now have the first 4 seasons. not a fan of the fifth tbh but I suppose I better pick it up at some point.
I loved Dennoh Coil when I watched it over a decade ago, really excited to rewatch it in HD. to the front of the queue with you!
the City Hunter sets were expensive, but I figured these are never going to get reprinted and the CR restock was my last chance to get them.
Some Third Window releases from Arrow's current sale. There seems to be a universal 10% off code floating around too if anyone is interested: BRUMHORROR
TWF are firmly favourite label at the minute.
House (1977) from Rarewaves. This one I am super happy about getting. I put off getting this for a while, but then it suddenly went out of print and I was gutted - prices shot up to £40-£50 for copies on eBay but I held off. However, as I had set up a stock alert, I received an email last week to say it was back in stock on Rarewaves for £17! There were only a few copies available and they all sold in about 30 minutes - I was quite lucky I was at my emails at the time. The lesson is, if you want something, buy it when you can before it goes OOP.
I received 6 Blu-ray titles today from the Sentai Summer Sale:
Toka Gettan: The Moonlight Lady Returns
Why the Hell are You Here Teacher!?
My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu Climax (Season 3)
Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon Season 4 Part 1
Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon Season 4 Part 2
Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 1
I was somewhat surprised to see a slipcover included with Why the Hell are You Here Teacher!? - until I opened up the product page for it on Sentai's web site after receiving it today - Well dang, I didn't know it has an uncensored coversheet on the Blu-ray case! Guess I'm going to have to break the seal on that one right away, lol!
I've had a long streak of work for the past eight days (yes I am an overworked individual) so now I had the time to see the latest packages. One arrived on Monday, another arrived yesterday and the final one today.
It's surreal to see an English version of the classic Type-Moon visual novel, though it's just one half. Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon- was localised by Aniplex of America and just like the anime, they went for the limited edition only model like Witch on the Holy Night (though this game was given an import friendly release in Japan & Asia). Since Tsukihime already received a release in Japan months ago, I had to go for the North American release from Aniplex of America.
I went with Video Games Plus because I'm happy with their handling of the UK market. £76 to get the limited edition over here (free shipping & VAT covered). There is a European physical version but it's handled by a Taiwanese distributor and not only is it way more expensive to get, it's not even released in Europe. Thank goodness for Switch being region free. Not opened the artbook due to spoilers.
Been a while since I picked up a World Cinema Radiance title and one that's been on my radar recently released in the June line-up. This is the limited edition Blu-ray box set for The Agitator: Three Provocations from the Wild World of Jean-Pierre Mocky, featuring three films from the French director - 1982's Litan: The City of Green Ghosts (Litan: La cité des spectres verts), 1984's Kill the Referee (À mort l'arbitre) and 1987's Agent Trouble.
This month's latest Eureka Entertainment titles arrived today which I didn't expect. The first is Jeong Chang-hwa's 1976 Hong Kong film The Double Crossers (鬼計雙雄) which is part of the Eureka Classics range and comes with a slipcase and booklet. The other is Kinji Fukasaku's 1978 Japanese film Message from Space (宇宙からのメッセージ) as part of the Masters of Cinema line-up, comes with a slipcase, booklet and poster. I ordered both from their July early bird offer when they revealed both titles.
