I like the artwork on the front of the SAO II sets but wished the spine looked a bit more like the first SAO season boxsets from AoA

I agree, it's a rather strange spine to have in contrast to Season 1 and even Extra Edition had the same logo type as Season 1.

He's referring to the spine from Box Set 1, which the other sets will follow.

I agree, it's a rather strange spine to have in contrast to Season 1 and even Extra Edition had the same logo type as Season 1.

I suppose it's to keep it consistent with the first 4(?) JP sets that cover the Phantom Bullet arc - but seems (given that the whole grey line won't be red in set II) they'll stick with the loading bar spine throughout all 3 arcs rather than just the first

I like it in some way. The red art is like portraying the whole 'End of Evangelion' stuff while the blue art reminds me of the Fly Me to the Moon Ending song.

I think it looks incredible. Most (i.e. almost all) anime Blu-rays/DVD's look ugly as sin in my opinion. But I get it, not every series can afford to go with the minimalism of Evangelion , because it's bloody Evangelion Can't wait to get my hands on it. Very close. The packaging alone is making me squeal
