Where are you going, When are you coming home?

Aldnoah has such gorgeous art work, really looking forward to more art work reveals for that series.

Oh wow - the Aldnoah set looks lush, hopefully Anime Ltd get to use the same assets.

Really like that SAO art too.

The Aldnoah Zero art would look amazing on an ARTBOX that houses the whole series. A la Kill la Kill box style. (hint-hint Anime Limited!)

Seriously, imagine those style images on a 4-sided case! *drooools*

That art work is gorgeous, and I agree that Anime Limited should definitely have the same art or similar on their release. Now the question is do I want to buy a mediocre show because the art looks nice :p

Urgh! Snap! So much wasted potential with stunning imagery.
I'm also sorta using the excuse to buy it so my mother can watch  not shown her a Mecha series yet and she's not a fussy pants like the rest of us.

I really liked Aldnoah.Zero even though it was a bit of a mess.I really had a lot of fun with this series despite it's flaws(and there was a lot of them).though I found the first series to be better than the second.

NIS America will soon be bringing out standard edition Blu-ray versions for Nyaruko! Season 1, Wagnaria!!2 and YuruYuri Season 1 on June 23rd (SRP $54.99 each):

Sweet, looks like I'll finally be getting YuruYuri to see what all the hype is about. Never got the LE due to a mix of my dislike for the size of it, and my lack of space to store it.

Various overseas artwork that I have yet to add onto this thread:

I can't believe Sentai Filmworks decided to use 1 disc for 12 episodes on the second half for these two shows (the first collection were on 2 discs for both), unacceptable:

I wonder if they'll do Blu-rays for some of the DVD only stuff, I'm not so keen on getting DVDs these days but I'm interested in Kawai Complex and would like to give Sakura Trick a go too (I've heard mixed reviews but I guess so-so Yuri is better than none). I hadn't heard of Windy Tales before to my recollection but it looks kind of interesting.

I'm glad they're at least doing Space Brothers (although I do think it could have been a pretty good gateway anime if they'd dubbed it, feels like a missed opportunity), I'll probably have to wait a few months then get as many collections as possible though.

Oh, is there a Wagnaria!! season one Blu-ray? I didn't notice it when I was looking but it's possible that I just missed it.

Trust me, Sakura Trick is definitely not worth buying. It's on Crunchyroll, just watch it there. You'll need a browser plugin or some other means of accessing the US stuff to watch it, but it's worth it to save the money. It really isn't great, Yuri aside.

I remember you saying that you found it disappointing, which is why I'm more hesitant than I was when I first heard of the show. Maybe I should see about giving it a try streaming, although I don't usually like to fuss about with things (especially when they're at best a grey area).

It's still odd that they haven't put it on Blu-ray though, I thought it had been quite popular. Maybe a lot of people watched it and had similar feelings to you so Sentai aren't so sure it'd be worth doing a Blu-ray (or maybe there's some other reason or it could just be that they haven't announced it yet).

I think it was fairly popular, purely because of the Yuri elements, so I'm pretty surprised it doesn't have a Blu Ray release too. The show seems to have it's fans, quickly looking over some of the reviews over on MAL, opinions seem mixed. There are reviews as low as 3/10 and as high as 10/10.

TBS is responsible for delaying numerous anime titles that Sentai have licensed, and due to having the same region the Blu-ray versions were held back until a certain point.

So far these lot are currently suffering from it:
- Busou Shinki
- Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb
- Infinite Stratos 2
- K-On! Season 1 (now scheduled for September)
- The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors & Hostel Behavior
- Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Heart Throb
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Season 1 (now scheduled for September)
- Photo Kano
- Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen
- Sakura Trick
- Sasami-san@Ganbaranai (now scheduled for October)
- Tamako Market

And since Sentai have also licensed these ones, so will they:
- Amagi Brilliant Park
- Beyond the Boundary/Kyoukai no Kanata (now scheduled for October)
- Blade & Soul (now scheduled for October)
- Koufuku Graffiti
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!
- Rail Wars!
- Re-Kan!

I find it really weird it's taken this long for K-On to come out on blu ray in the States. Pretty sure it came out in 2013 in Australia and was scheduled to come out in the UK in 2013 too before being axed by Manga.

That situation was slightly different.

- Bandai released the show into four parts at normal pricing which somewhat dodges reverse importation.
- Madman was able to provide a complete set after releasing the four parts because they're Region B, though Season 2 didn't get the treatment (it technically did but it's just Part 1 and 2 together in a slipcase).

I understand that reverse importation is an issue, but K-On broadcast in '09. I'll assume that it was available in it's entireity in Japan by 2010. Is a 5 year gap really necessary to stave off reverse importation?

Also it sucks the Australian Complete Season 2 blu ray got cancelled. I would have bought that in a heartbeat and buying Parts 1 and 2 is quite expensive if you opt for the Collector's Box.
