How I wish that Toradora edition worked on Region B players

Well it's not out yet for Blu-ray (It's July 1st I think), I've got it pre-ordered and will test it when it arrives (assuming UP1 can get the stock for the release date).

Doubtful that it will work, but if it does I'll take the plunge with Cardcaptor Sakura.

Probably would be doubtful indeed but if it can work on the PlayStations then that's fine with me. I actually have the money for Cardcaptor Sakura but I decided that I should read the manga first before plunging into a massive 70 episode set.

Meanwhile in France...

Tamako Market will be coming to Blu-ray in the near future (TBS is the reason why it is currently DVD only).

"And lately, Kanna's feeling a little odd about her feelings towards Tamako as well".

Are you sure Sentai? Are you suuuuuuuuuuuure? Kanna's eyes are always on the wood - and not the kind Mochizo has =3.

I think that just shows how much Funi cares about Shangri La. Then again I'm under the impression that nobody does...

Do you think the guy who works on the SAVE edition covers just thought screw it everyone's just gonna use the reversible cover anyway. While silently weeping into his monitor as he realized he has the easiest job in the entire anime industry that no one could ever possibly f@ck up.....

My favourite recent dodgy DVD back cover copy comes from Bleach series 13 part 2:

''Aizen remains confident and the situation doesn't seem to thwart his plans... What's he cooking on?''

Obviously time to ask Aizen whether he uses a gas or electric stove...

Haha!! That actually made me laugh, a pretty hard laugh actually lol. Man what's up with FUNi and their quality control, lately?

Apparently people aren't happy with this release. Not just because of the pricing but because there is no English dub. So it looks like they took the Monogatari approach with this series (Blu-ray only, no soundtrack, pretty much barebones) except there's no booklet, quite a shame.

I don't really care about posters but I'm glad we got that gorgeous illustration from the Japanese release somewhere, yay.

The comments section on ANN can be summed up as "Muh Dubs", "Dat Price" and "Aniplex a ****". I'm glad Aniplex ignores these people and keeps on doing good in the world.

Anyway, Valvrave. Is it any good?

Haven't seen the series so I don't know whether it's good or not. The only things I hear about is that the show is 'so stupid but entertaining to watch' and the infamous but controversial scene in Season 1.

Cost wise, it will cost as much as Nisemonogatari's Limited Edition so I guess that's not too bad (about £89.99 whenever UP1USA lists the title).

It was one of the few shows to get its own thread on here as it aired, so its insane plot obviously interested some of us. I think it's still up on Crunchyroll if you want to check it out first before commencing the investment.

I loved it so the BD is a no-brainer. And I completely agree about the need for companies to ignore the vocal majority and keep doing what they're good at.

That reminds me, the guy at the Aniplex panel did say that there will be more Standard versions of their upcoming titles.

I admit, for the first few episodes I wasn't impressed with it, but as it progressed I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I stuck with it. Just go in with a clear mind, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it :)
