Plus Zavvi have FMP Ultimate at £100 atm, over £30 cheaper than the current Amazon price.

Has the price on anyones Amazon order for FMP dropped to their current price yet as mine hasn't.

Mine has, I ordered it when it was £136.85 and it's now £136.84.

You could just put a new order in and then cancel your old one if you want it to be up to date right away. I'm not sure if they'd all update at the same time anyway though so it might just take a little while longer (I think they aim for 48 or 72 hours and I have had it take around that long to update on some orders).

There was that issue where it was listed as out of stock rather than for pre-order, although it seemed like it was going to apply the pre-order price guarantee for people after all. Has anyone who ordered before the release date change had their price update yet?

No, I just decided to re order because I don't think the Pre Order Price Promise kicked in due to the whole out of stock thing.

Also, thanks for the heads up on Madoka, changing my order now. Do Base take payment straight away or when it dispatches? Also, do Zavvi and Base have pre order price promise equivalents?

Zavvi does, but if you use a discount code you can't avail of it.

They take it on dispatch. Not noticed any price promise when I've used them in the past, they might do but I've never noticed it, sorry.

Zavvi does but you can't use it in conjunction with discount codes.

Well that's Amazon well and truly dumped. They're not cheaper for anything I buy now unless it's on sale or from a marketplace seller.
 
Amazon are generally not great for anime, I find. Still, with the pre-order promise and being able to cancel easily enough it doesn't hurt to have an order on until close to release. It would only be a problem if it suddenly moved forward to being dispatched without any warning and the price was higher than you wanted to pay. At least anime tends to come out on or after the expected release date.

I don't think it's that fussy to do the same with Zavvi either. I guess it could be a pain to keep track of everything if you have several orders for the same things though.
 
I tend to just place the order on Amazon (as sometimes their prices drop and go back up quickly) and Base or Zavvi if they are cheaper. Then about two weeks before release I cancel the higher priced one.
