UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

@Winkuru. Wow that's a crazy price on Durarara LE - £18.99. £61 off the RRP. And I think anime ltd are still replacing disks!

Yep they are (got mine replaced a few weeks back when it was reduced to £25); although I believe they will be stopping the replacement program shortly.

With Zavvi's near constant deals on AL standard BD collections, I don't think anyone can really claim there aren't affordable physical releases any more.

I haven't tried Space Dandy yet, but at that price I've really no excuse not to.

I dunno... I'll wait and see how good Zavvi's track record is with actually delivering the good sbefore I agree with that.

In my experience they deliver the goods. Just not always the goods you ordered.

Never experienced that one before (care to elaborate?)

i Agree when things go bad Zavvi's Customer Service can be timely (i.e. spend a day waiting for a reply); but on the whole its been good service from them.

Ordered the Bayonetta steelbook once and the Ninja Scroll steelbook turned up (which I already had). Happened a second time but can't remember what with.

Have you had problems with them HdE? They've been fine for me since their rebirth.

I rarely order from them. The first time I tried, I was kept waiting for weeks before being told that the item I'd ordered wasn't in stock. Another time I was told that there were insufficient stocks to fulfill my order, and I was refunded.

Generally, if I have these kinds of experiences with a retailer more than a couple of times, I simply don't bother using them again.

Kaguya is £12.99 also on HMV's store. I think Amazon price matched them as it's been that price about a week now. HMV free shipping is over £10.

AllTheAnime.com/Anime Limited Deal Of Month for July is Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning CE Blu-ray Combi Pack for £8.99

http://shop.alltheanime.com/products/ti ... -beginning

It seems like Anime Limited's Store are just maching Zavvi's price (Space Dandy was £24.99 and now T&B for £8.99)

If Anime Ltd. are contractually supposed to set the RRP at a certain price and they then use an offer to cut it down, are they not going to massively piss off Japanese distributors? If somebody else has already done a deal and they're just matching the same price, there's not a lot for the Japanese distributors to get upset about is there?

My guess is Anime Ltd. are just playing it safe, which would also explain why everything else on their store is priced ridiculously high...

There's not a lot between the quality of the DVD and the Blu Ray, so that's pretty much unmissable unless you MUST have it in hi-def.
