UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

Man, Amazon is lowering all of these prices yet Bakemonogatari is still £45. C'mon Amazon.

@Lutga, I found Blue Exorcist to be incredibly underwhelming. Great in concept and the first and last few episodes are great but the middle is kind of Meh IMO. P4 The Animation is pretty good but is no replacement for playing the game. Can't comment on the others, haven't seen them.

Go onto Amazon for Bakemonogatari and click on new and used offers, MVM are selling it themselves for £36 in those listings. There is a similar drop in price on the Nisemonogatari listing.

To be honest, It's still a little more than I'd like to pay for a 15 episode series. I'd say the max I'd be willing to spend is like £25. I'll bide my time for now.

Not sure if it will ever come down to that price outside of a multi purchase offer at a con due to being Aniplex and spread across 4 discs.

Give it some time. Madoka is 13 episodes, also Aniplex and you can get that for about £20 on Blu Ray.

And if I remember Aniplex were livid over that as they thought they agreed for it to be released on 3 single release blurays at £35rrp each, not a 3 disc complete release at £35.

Fair enough. I'll probably end up caving and buying it for £30-£35 but I'll do it begrudgingly :p.

Eyeing up those sales and can't decide what's worth a punt out of the below - which should I go for?

The four parts of Tiger & Bunny
The three parts of Persona 4
Last Exile
Blue Exorcist
Panty & Stocking
If it helps your decision Persona 4 has been that price (£15 a vol) on Base for the past 12 months so probably isn't gonna change any time soon :)

Sounds good. Bought it. My backlog is getting sickening what with Arcania and Gantz to still watch after I finish Love Hina! :p

Haha, you should see mine - my backlog is an entire shelf, probably runs to about 20+ titles. I have no self control.

Same. I've got well north of 500, maybe nearer to 1000, anime dvds and blurays myself. Wouldn't suprise me if I had the largest collection of physical anime in Ireland.

That was my assumption when Manga said something to the effect that there might be a huge price hike coming some time after release, but I've never seen anything confirming (or even anyone other than myself speculating that I can remember).
