Has the Blu-ray version for Kill la Kill Box #2 always been £34? NO WAIT A MINUTE..

And the price has gone up. Well sort of, someone apparently didn't like the product that was described so you can't order the set from Amazon directly for a while (third party sellers are available however).

Wow, I've never seen that happen before! Is that really a thing? Surely that's damaging to companies like Anime Ltd - as it means they're potentially losing sales during that period?

The last time I've seen this happen was with Attack on Titan Part 1 Collector's Edition Blu-ray (Amazon UK) and Dragon Ball Z Season 1 Blu-ray (Amazon US).

The guy that bought the set must have thought it contained the rest of the episodes or something rather daft.

Tiger & Bunny - The Rising: Collector's Edition Combi Pack is £10.75....mistake, right?

*yeah, it's a mistake lol

Really? Don't Amazon have to honour the price if they've reduced it to that?

I doubt it, there will be some small print somewhere covering their asses in case of mistakes like this, most places have them but I guess there is no harm in trying, you could always cancel later.

I went for it. Thanks to NUS it's £10.21 for me, this is saving me a lot of money for MCM (I would assume Anime Limited would bring the set to MCM since it's near that time).

The prices are probably low because they're having trouble getting rid of the last bit of stock. Durarara was a 3000 print run if I remember correctly and still hasn't sold out, neither has the Ghost in the Shell Steelbook and many other 'limited edition' anime releases. It took a while before both Bebop and Perfect Blue sold out. I guess it's best to wait for prices to drop on these limited editions unless its truly a low print number, I'm talking double or triple digits, but even then a print run of a few 100 would take a while to sell in the UK, but of course I'm not privy to sales numbers so it's hard to say. Good prices in any case, Perfect Blue is worth every penny, one of the greatest animated films of all time.

To be fair Durarara!! was eventually priced around £50-60 so they couldn't really get any customer at that value, and of course the technical issues must have put people off.

Technical issues are also the same reason why GitS's Steelbook hasn't sold out yet.

What was the technical issues with the GITS Steelbook by the way? I know that people were put off by the lack of extras, and I think that there was talk about the audio and some minor subtitle mistakes/changes, but overall I loved the release.

Pretty much what you said:
- Audio issues like missing sound effects (English language only)
- Weaker audio for Japanese language, Stereo 2.0 instead of DTS MA 5.1-7.1
- British subtitles that have numerous mistakes, honestly there was no reason to make their own.
- Not technical but bare-bones release, extras like Production Report not brought back from other versions.

Hmmm, don't know what to say really, I guess all I can say is it all never really bothered me, but fair enough. I wouldn't watch it in English so even though I had heard of the missing sound effects, I never came into contact with them. In regards to the Japanese audio, surely that's a common thing? The Japanese don't want people to import things from the west and such. The US release also had a LPCM 2.0 Japanese track. Fair enough I guess :)

Missing sound effects, damn it. I hadn't watched the steel book version yet. Tempted to rewatch it on Netflix now instead.
