Try UP1 for some Australian titles, pre-imported.
Looking for the Pokemon seasons 1 & 2 set coming out and Up1 does not have it, would normally use Devotedvd but they have not updated their website in a while

If you send UP1 a message I'm pretty sure they'll try to add it to their catalogue (that's how they started the Australian DVD importation thing in the first place).

Bear in mind they have to pay fees themselves, so the price will be higher than buying direct from Aus. It should however be lower than buying from Aus and having to pay import & handling.

Unfortunately so. They're probably some of the worst packaging I've seen of any anime DVDs recently (a shame as the imagery is actually quite nice).

The crazy thing is that inside the card box, you actually have two separate DVD single cases, each with one disc in them each. So essentially it's double the packaging for what could be contained within a single case.

The blurb text on the back is always littered with typos too. Bad translation from the French originals, I believe.

Also Bleach on the spine is the wrong way around :|

Bleach has always really annoyed me like that, I have parts 1 to 12 thus far and it's so inconsistent, 1-4 are white, 5 is red, 6 to 8 are white, 9 is black with Bleach the wrong way around, then 10 is white, 11 black 12 white and 13 is going to be white too...I think it's the random red one that bothers me most.

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

Pure speculation, what titles are people expecting Manga UK to announce for release in 2015?

Looking at what's coming out in the US right now, there aren't too many shows that exactly strike as the kind of stuff that they'd put out, but maybe that's just me...

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

Has anyone encountered an ad viewing/timing issue with the Crunchyroll app for iOS and/or Android? I've specifically encountered an issue with my i-Pad app whereby the ad's timer runs significantly slower than a standard second (!) and the skip ad is inoperable (probably because of the timer issue). Accessing the site via the browser doesn't seem to incur this issue, nor is it likely to be an issue if you're a paid member since this will likely eliminate the issue along with the ad's.. I suppose I'm curious to know if anyone else had encountered/reported this - I have contacted them and I believe they're looking into it but I've heard nothing since, nor has there been a released update.

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

I am a paid member so I don't get ads but I can confirm that there is some weirdness in the timing on the iPad version for me too. Sometimes an episode will have an end time of (say) 22:00 but it will just keep running past that until the episode actually ends, so the display can show you at 24:00/22:00 without any explanation. I've never looked into it, but the website has always had perfect timestamps for me.

They tend to be slow to update the apps unless it's a critical bug (I have an issue with certain titles not appearing in the apps even when I know I have no parental settings switched on and I can still watch them from my history...).

Yes I've noticed the weird episode timer issue as well! I bet they're trying to correct it and messed up the ad system! Don't get me wrong I love Crunchyroll as a "thing" for watching anime - it's great and has kept me well entertained, but these quirks often render it a bit off for a time.. There was one anime I wanted to sink my teeth into but the "episodes" were only about 2-3 mins long and had advert breaks at the beginning and end of the opening credits, one half way through and again before the end credits - about four times more advert than episode hahaha

I remember the same problem on the Samsung TV app and the iPad app...

Nice to know it's spread across differing formats then - not sure I'm too keen on subscribing if bugs such as these keep cropping up. If I got a SMART TV I was going to promise myself that this would be a part of the justification, but if it's having hiccups across the board I may wait a while longer..

Re: The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a threa

Is One Piece Movie 8 still coming out on Blu-ray in the UK, as I can't seem to find it listed anywhere? I'm sure Manga said that it would have an individual BD release as well as the 7-9 movie boxset...

will hetalia season 5 and shana 3 ever come to the UK ?

I know MVM Entertainment are trying to get hold of Shana S3 license, so I guess it will come to the UK at some point.

MangaUK haven't mentioned anything about Hetalia for awhile; however considering Season 5 only came out in America back in July the UK release (if mangauk are still interested in licensing it) may come out next year.

When they first announced the One Piece Movie Collection they did say Movie 8 would be available on it's own as a Blu-ray (or at least consider it) but since then nothing has been mentioned; can only assume they have decided to release it on DVD as part of the movie collection.
