The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

Saikano (She The Ultimate Weapon) was pretty popular back in the day and I could see you potentially enjoying Rumbling Hearts, Lemon. Aika was very much a relic of its era (lol) and the rest of their catalogue barely ever made it out of Japan, which is a shame really.

She: The Ultimate Weapon also seems to be a good/great show judging by the score some MAL friends gave it :)
A very divisive piece. I have seen critics both uphold it for its unrelenting rawness and utterly excoriate it for its melodrama. I was quite taken by it, back in the day. Its ED is still very effective.

From Catsuka's twitter; a new visual for the forthcoming, European-produced Cobra sequel:

I'd take a season 2 if they have an awesome soundtrack again heh.

I'm quitr a big fan, (have panty and stocking figures in the cabinet after all) bit dunno if it could be done right after the previous staff left.

Its probably a damn compilation film anyway rather than aught new as that seems to be the trend studios are milking right now

It's a shame that the Rumbling Hearts OVAs never made it out of Japan too (there are three in total iirc, which gives the series an alternate ending).

Huh... weird. Not sure I like the idea of them undoing Lelouch's death at the end of R2. Although the second series was hit and miss I thought the ending was a really good way to tying it all up...

I'll inevitably give it a go, anyway!

You've not watched Akita the Exiled then where Lelouch isn't dead.

Isn't that because Exiled took place alongside R1/2? Although admittedly from what I've heard it does sound like it went beyond. I need to watch them for myself (Hurry up Kazé :().

Can't say I'm too fussed by the idea of a S3, although I do like Code Geass so I'll be watching it for myself anyway. I'll definitely be interested in watching the recap movies with the budget they'll be given too. :D
