We can confirm that Anime Limited will be bringing a home video release to the UK (TBC 2016) and we’re happy to say that we have partnered with Viewster.com to simulcast the series to give UK/Ireland the opportunity to watch the series with English subtitles during this summer season. (Start date TBA.)

Ah then it's probably in limbo then to see whether it'll get a UK release. I would probably bet on we won't get a release seeing how the Japanese release has been cancelled/postponed until further notice.

Hmm, I never expected the titles announced on Blu-Ray to have said format, especially after more recent shows like Outbreak Company & Flowers Of Evil never had one (Pricing issue? MVM were able to team up for the announced Blu's to split cost?)

Not that I'm complaining, more Blu's the better :thumb:

Speaking of Q1 I'm eagerly awaiting Animatsu's.

Ah, these sort of discoveries always make me excited.
 
MCM Birmingham This weekend. Wonder if there will be any announcements to coincide with that? I'm not even aware of any panels taking place tbh, but social media announcements could tie in with the expectations of fans.
 
I can understand MVM wanting to do Blu-ray if/when they can partner with someone else for the discs, but half of those titles make no sense on the format. Oreimo and Hidamari Sketch (and perhaps Sasami at a stretch) are the only ones I could see selling decently at all let alone on Bluray. Kill Me Baby is the one that stands out the most as I can't see it selling well on either format.
 
Kill Me Baby might actually end up being reverse imported into Japan in the long term...

It's completely silly, but if I were a non-Japanese distributor I'd probably want to keep it in circulation to capitalise on that.

There are a HUGE NUMBER of anime fans that think they know what a good translation is, and won't hesitate to call a company out on the carpet for one that they perceive to be "wrong." And unfortunately many of them choose to do so in pretty abusive ways. Companies get hate mail -- usually email or tweets but sometimes thick physical envelopes -- filled with every cuss word known to man and sometimes even violent imagery... because those fans compared their subtitles to a fan translation they like "better" and they don't match.

The number of times I've seen this... People going so far as attacking the correct official translation when the fan translation which was unquestionably outright wrong, because they read/watched the fan translation first so that must make it correct, yes?
