Fair enough I guess, but do they really need to plaster the spline with all those other logos.

Their Fate/Zero art box should have been clean, no logos. They should have done what practically every steelbook release does. Clean artwork, no logos but a card/paper wrap/slip that is removable and has the logos and info on.
 
Hmm .. Monogatari Second Season would be my guess as an obvious title.

The KnK boxset sounds lovely! Yeah, hate how its not on BD but it's not like they had a choice in the matter so definite purchase.
 
I just realised something. Silver Spoon is DVD only because it's too soon to have a Blu-ray release. The same goes to Servant x Service as well (that came out 10 months after the first broadcast episode). Not sure about Blast of Tempest and Magi though.

Crunchyroll have announced via Famine con that they have Sailor Moon Crystal, a re-edit compilation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and two live action shows; Frenemy -Rumble of the Rat- and No Dropping Out -Back to School at 35-. Regions for all four are TBC.

They should still get rid of disc counts and include a clean reversible cover.

My idea for "@MVM_UK #CLEANtheSPINE" still stands. I can understand that if multiple stores refuse to take in stock without BBFC logo on the spine that it is an issue.
But no matter what the disc count labels can go, and (confirmed) clean reversible covers are just better fan service than boobs and butts.

I want to watch KnK, yes. But I'm not buying it on dvd. I'll be waiting for a BD-release, which hopefully is affordable.
And comparing what happened with the prices with a similar SRP it's not looking good on the "being affordable" front. :/ We'll see what happens.

What I will do with Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai will greatly depend on who takes the UK license (and what for packaging they announce).
I'm not that interested in owning High School of the Dead in LE packaging... I'll get the cheap Manga release someday, that's it. Nothing more.
I'm not even that excited about watching HSotD... It's probably boobs-boobs-boobs-boobs... Oh, and I forgot to mention boobs, didn't I?

I'm surprised to see Golden Time being sub-only!
Guess it joins Pet Girl of Sakurasou as a popular show that is more likely to get a dub when the complete collection gets released in 2016.
I will be watching PapaKiki subbed it seems. I don't know whether I'll be able to buy it though.
Don't expect me to watch any of the others at all.

I hope to see MVM release the first three titles on BD if they are getting them.
For one thing I would appreciate a collector's edition for Fate/KLPI by MVM to fit next to Fate/Zero whenever I get around to getting that.
(My PayPal was empty when I wanted to order Fate/Zero CE BD using 10SOON that weekend thanks to pledging for Patema Inverted... :/)

As for K-On! I want an UK BD release, we'll see what happens on that front in 2015 when the Japanese licensor approves an UK release.

PS: I am definitely interested in watching Tari Tari. If it gets dubbed I'll watch it dubbed as I am the (usually) only one who (usually) appreciates a dub on Sentai releases on AUKN. xD If it really doesn't get dubbed I'll watch it subbed. Simple as one-two-three.
 
Forgot to mention but Space Pirates BDs will be the same as the US/AUS release as Sentai are printing the discs. Prior to me mentioning it, Tony didn't know that it was 1080i.

I think you'll be waiting a very long time for that then as other than Steelbooks I have yet to see any kind of disc without the BBFC rating on the spine.

ADV UK releases didn't have ratings logos on the spines. As far as I know this never caused any problems with retailers.

I am with you. I am not buying it on dvd despite being 1 of my top5 anime. I would easily throw £100 at this if it was BD, maybe even a bit more. But forget about dvd even more if they decide to re-release later with BD. I will wait 1 year no problem. Should come maybe before that I hope lol If the japaneses let them...

Sometimes Funi display region A only when the discs are in fact Region AB. Until someone physically tests the discs we won't know.
Considering the small gap between Funi's & Madman's release dates, I'd be incredibly surprised if it was A Locked.

I know there are some Sentai discs labelled A but are A/B, but I actually forgot that there are a few Funi discs labelled A but are actually A/B.

Probably shouldn't post when tired. Saw the A and my brain said damn.

If it was indeed A|1 then how in the hell can Madman release the exact same content two weeks later.

Yup. They told me Trading Standards went around the expo hall on friday and told them they were not to sell uncertificated titles.
There was like one or two other stalls with a few imports which they must have missed though, as well as all the obviously fake/dodgy figures and Attack on Titan Nendoroids.

Urgh, the large amount of fake merch was...urgh. Also yeah, I saw a stand selling US DVD/BDs earlier today.
