Cool, can't say the issues have impacted my sub watch (i'm on episode 16) and i've thoroughly enjoyed the release. :thumb:

I'm probably in the minority but I don't really care about the odd issue. I'd rather money goes in to getting new titles out but I suppose you've got your reputation to think about, so fixing these rather than ignoring them is probably better PR.

I am with you. I am watching the series subbed (of course...) and I am going to ep 17. Yes the 16 had a few missing subtitles but I am ok with it. I am from Portugal so I dont think its worth to replace my copy cause the cost will be high to send it back and even if Andrew could get it for free, I think I wont go through the trouble of all that comes with it. The releases is good to me but congratz Andrew on changing that for the future versions of the release.

I'm from Portugal as well and I wouldn't mind paying for the postage fees for fixed discs. Hopefully Anime Limited will be able to send them here.

Anime Limited are reauthoring the Durarara Blu-Ray discs to get round the errors and add a signs track. Not too sure what the plan is for people who have already bought the stuff

http://www.alltheanime.com/durarara-re-authoring/

Much like Bebop - we'll issue replacements to anyone who bought one already. As the majority were bought on Amazon - proof of purchase should by and large be easy to do too!

Andrew
I'm glad I actually double dipped in the end. I just hope you aren't putting yourself out of pocket by doing this. I'm more than happy to throw a bit more money your way for corrected discs.
I'm assuming the new release will also be region locked unlike the current one? Would it also be right to assume that nothing will change in regards to the Video/Audio/Subtitles? Personally I'm not a fan of yellow subs...
Have access to a BD drive/Ripping software, If I could find out how to edit PGS subtitles whilst also keeping them in a compatible file type, I also wouldn't mind trying to create song/signs tracks.

Despite all the issues I suppose I should give props to Siren for using 4x BD50s and, you know, ACTUALLY using that disc space at over 40gb per disc. Now if only Funimation would take note considering Kamisama Kiss and Psycho pass barely use more than half the space on the 2 BD50s/25s in the set.

By proof of purchase I'll presume a screenshot of our set or the Amazon receipt?

Either way, I'm glad you decided to take action on this matter because it's a huge QC issue that Siren left out. I can wait for as long as it takes for you to get them fixed.

I got mine from United publications what do I do?

It's also not opened yet
I also purchased mine from UP1. Surely having a picture of the set would be proof of purchase enough.
Let's be honest AF, I really don't think that anyone would doubt you when say that you own the set.

Yeah I get that but how do I do it, who do I send it to, who do I ask,....... questions questions questions where do I start.??????

By the way you might want to give this message to United publications about durarara.

Did you keep the slip of paper that came from UP1 with the order? Can you go through your previous order lists through your account there?
One option might be to contact up1 and ask them for a proof of purchase, if that's possible.

Seems to be a case of waiting, most likely an email or online form will be set up where you'll be asked to include a proof of purchase near to the time.

It'll be helpful if Anime Limited were able to work with retailers to send out replacements without a form being completed.

1 yes I did its right here.

2 I could do that or I could contact them about the issue ................actually what is the issue........ I know what your thinking * wait he's complaining about the error and he doesn't know what it is........-_- *
Anyways I can contact up1 say what's up with the the box set and ask them if I can return it and wait for the 're release ............do you think this would work?

Just wait and see for now, Bebop will be having replacements sent out soon so you'll be able to get an idea on the form for Durarara.

To put minds at ease:

1. If you have the proof of purchase (screen cap of Amazon receipt) that would be ideal or the packing proof or such - the email proving purchase is a good way.

2. We are not replacing perfectly good packaging - only the discs! So if it's unopened feel free to crack it open as we're only replacing the discs - they'll be sent out in jewel cases so you can convert the current discs into old-school coasters / frisbees / ridiculously thin & large ear spacers!

If you don't have (1) we'll settle for a photo confirming it - ideally opened!

So don't worry folks - it's not going to be crazy restrictions but if you do have proof - it's handy!

Andrew
PS if you do have to ask what's wrong, odds are it's not been an issue for you! Doesn't stop you getting replacements anyway!

Hah, figured this might happen. Dragon Ball Season 1 will be a 15 thanks to the first 6 eps. "Pat-Pat" probably had something to do with it. The other discs are 12s.

From what I've heard, Dragon Ball is quite perverted (from witnessing certain chapters of the manga).

Excellent.

There ya go AF, you could just take a snap of your receipt from UP1 for proof! if you so choose :3

Oh and this little bit of news ..

"Section23 has announced the cancellation of the Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Blu-ray Complete Collection in favor of an upcoming premium edition release, which will be solicited at a future date. All open orders will be cancelled, and customers will need to reorder this product once the full details and new listing for the item are posted. The new premium edition box set will include an English language track and include both a Blu-ray and DVD version of the show."

So to sum it up, the blu-ray version of the release has been delayed so that it can be released with a dub in a DVD/BD combi-pack. Hopefully they'll announce what's included to make it a "premium edition" though.
