It's DVD only which is a joke. Personally I'm wondering where the hell Index II is, considering it aired in 2010 compared to Railgun S in 2013.Y2Johnny said:Please please PLEASE, let Railgun S be region B compatible, PLEASE!

I hope someone in the UK will license the franchise, (like I dunno, Anime Limited) and actually give it a good release on BD.
FUNimation most likely.st_owly said:I'm still going to be torrenting Ping-Pong
That is possibly the most bizarre territory list I've seen from CR. I wonder who's sitting on the UK streaming rights as neither Wakanim nor Animax have announced it...
I'm pretty sure I saw confirmation that FUNi had it recently.Mangaranga said:Personally I'm wondering where the hell Index II is, considering it aired in 2010 compared to Railgun S in 2013.
I bought the first Japanese <strike>DVD</strike> BD and it looked nice, although it was apparently produced at a resolution between SD and HD, like FMA:B.Y2Johnny said:DVD only? Really? :| With all the visual effects the show has (Misaka's electricity, for instance), it would be a treat to watch in BD. And yeah, I totally agree with you on Index II as well.

All the Anime (@AllTheAnime)
Looking at it now - it's more possible for us so watch this space .
That only applies to Index, Index II and Railgun. Endymion and Railgun S were animated after JC Staff finally switched to HD, so they are 1600x900.Shiroi Hane said:I bought the first Japanese DVD and it looked nice, although it was apparently produced at a resolution between SD and HD, like FMA:B.Y2Johnny said:DVD only? I've actually read a few of the Index novels after watching most of the available series and I feel that "Butchers" is a bit harsh. Yes they skip/condense/cut out stuff (and characters in the case of the Angel Fall arc) and the LNs are better, but the anime adaptation isn't that bad.Lawrence said:Are you seriously telling me that you'd want a premium treatment for a series that butchers the source material? I think it comes down to relations between parent companies.Joshawott said:MangaUK won't touch Index/Railgun due to Geneon becoming Geneon Universal and the conditions needed to license things from them, iirc.

If that's "Buchering" and Index/II wasn't then I'll take butchered, ta.Lawrence said:Are you seriously telling me that you'd want a premium treatment for a series that butchers the source material? Railgun and Railgun II deserve nothing more than a bare bones release.
I don't believe that to be the case, since Shana S2 had the Geneon Universal logo on the case and no FUNimation logo (which is present on Kiddy Grade, Chobits and Fruits Basket). The Shana videos on FUNimation's YouTube are also all locked to "CA,US".Just Passing Through said:MVM licensed Shana Season 2, they did so from Funimation
Picture:Just a quick note - we just got in the new S.A.V.E. version of Shangri-La this morning (see Hot Off the Truck below). If you notice, our picture of it on the store is the same as the one for the old LE box, and that's not a mistake. I suppose Funimation must of either of had a crap load of the old two/half versions left in the warehouse, or else a big mega retailer like the Zon must have returned a truckload of unsold copies, because the new S.A.V.E. is (at least for now) just the old 2 part version (LE and part #2) slammed together with a S.A.V.E sticker on it. So now you can buy the old version as a SAVE edition for basically $15 bucks. Wow.

In other words, you're buying an LE release for £10. I wouldn't mind buying it (£9.91 via UP1 USA exc. P&P)

Going by the image in this listing it might be the same deal with the forthcoming S.A.V.E. re-release of Shiki.
