The difference between anime companies in the UK:
Kazé UK: This is delayed, live with it.
I think it's more like:
Kazé UK: Hey MangaUK, this is delayed - won't you be a dear and tell the customers for us?

I'd say it's more like this...

Kaze to UK Customers: ....
Kaze to Manga: Gallic shrug, long drag on Gauloise...
UK Customer: "WTF!"
Manga internally: "Not this crap again"
Manga to UK Customers: "Nothing to report at this time, if that changes we will let you know."

I think it's more like "Hey MangaUK this is delayed because we French are lazy b***** and we're going on strike for some stupid reason"

Looks like Tiger & Bunny in Australia is getting a Complete Series edition for Blu-ray and DVD, December 4th to be precise.

Volume 7 of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn will be available with English and French subtitles in June 2014.

Hong Kong's version of Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society 3D will include English Subtitles, though locked to Region A.

Despite what people have been stating before release, Funimation USA's Good Luck Girl! (Region B compatible) does have textless opening and ending in the final product. On the downside, rumours of a choppy OP/ED have been going around though.

Viz's release of K is arriving in February 25th 2014. The UK release is licensed by Kaze UK (Viz Media Europe) so expect that title to arrive here later in 2014.

The rather popular Parasyte manga is getting two live action films. The first film is slated to open in Japan in December 2014, and the second film will open in 2015. And just now, also an TV anime adaptation. Sweet.

Funimation's shopping site has updated the new titles with the latest regional info:

Appleseed XIII: Tartaros & Ouranos - Region A | 1
Dragon Ball Z: Season 2 [Blu-ray Version] - Region A (Possibly Region B as people have pointed out the promotional image had A & B on the discs)
Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo [Blu-ray Version] - Region A & B
Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo [DVD Version] - Region 1, 2 & 4
Fruits Basket: Complete Series [Anime Classics Line] - Region 1, 2 & 4
Jormungand: Perfect Order (Season 2) - Region A & B | 1, 2 & 4
Kamisama Kiss: Complete Series - Region A | 1
Robotics;Notes: Part 1 [Standard & Limited Edition] - Region A & B | 1, 2 & 4
Serial Experiments Lain: Complete Series [Anime Classics Line] - Region A | 1
Strike Witches: Season 1 [S.A.V.E. Edition] - Region A & B | 1
Strike Witches: Season 2 [S.A.V.E. Edition] - Region A & B | 1 & 2

Evangelion 3.33 also includes a 52 page booklet.

Splitting the first Orange Brick and selling it disc by disc as singles? That's just plain bizarre, even for an anime company  It's even listed on the BVA so it seems to be legit. Perhaps it's one of those releases that's designed to be placed at the counter of HMV or whatever. One of those "for every purchase you make, you can buy one of these for a fiver" sort of thing. The same tactic that drove Origin: Spirits of the Past to such massive numbers in the UK.

Not really sure about this? but on Amazon's Manga UK schedule for Q1 they have Dragon Ball Z Season 1 Parts 1-6 listed at just over a fiver each 0_o http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_1?r ... 1384962269

There's even two versions of Evangelion 3.33 on Blu-ray on my screen. Perhaps another Collector's Edition?
Yup, it's a double play, same as with 2.22.

Nice, guess that'll match 2.22 on my shelf. Should also include the booklet as well (like 2.22 did).

Did you.. just use "Kaze" and "expect" in the same sentence?

--edit--

I should add "without also including the word 'delays'".

I just fixed that for you.

In a move I don't think anyone could have expected after this length of time, seinen sf/horror manga Parasyte is to get an anime adaptation next year, co-inciding with a pair of live-action theatrical features.

At its heart, I suppose it's a fairly formulaic story, but I remember it being quite well written and having some effectively icky creature designs.

Hanabee has AKB0048 and Say, I Love You for DVD releases in Feb 2014.
Siren Visual's Monster is down for a January 15th on Part 1 via DVD.

Viz's release of K will have a Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack for Feb 2014. The cover art is shown in Overseas thread.
Viz's release of Berserk Golden Age: Advent is drawing near. It's showing up on Amazon but dates are still TBD.

It's pretty oldschool really, started in the 1990's, so arguably it set the formulas for a few things.

I have the tokyopop version and I'm thinking I should upgrade to the delray version.

Good thing I decided to get the Funimation release, because this just happened:

With this year rocketing to a close at high speed, we already find ourselves looking towards the first quarter of 2014 and what it has to hold in terms of anime releases - indeed, our own UK Anime release calendar is now up-to-date with all of the confirmed release dates for the start of next year from both MVM Entertainment and Manga Entertainment.

Looking through this list, one item is notable by its absence - although Eureka Seven AO is present and correct, with the first half of the series slated to land on Monday January 6th and the second part arriving on March 10th, we can't help but note that the series will now be released on DVD only with no sign of a Blu-Ray release for the series as previously expected.

As far as we're aware, there are currently no plans to release this Eureka Seven follow-up on Blu-Ray in the UK, meaning that you'll have to stick with DVD if you're planning to pick up the series.
Were you excited to see Eureka Seven AO reach our shores? Will the lack of a Blu-Ray release affect your purchasing decision? Let us know in the comments!

Huh, so much for that. Manga were on a pretty good run with BD too. I'll import from elsewhere some time in the future. I like AO quite a bit, I thought it was mostly a worthy sequel despite its flaws.

I hope Jormungand doesn't end up DVD only too.
