Holy crap, that came out of nowhere, Aniplex haven't even announced a BD of their own. Nice pickup from Manga!

That was my reaction as well. Unless it's a KAZE release.

Those who like Marvel Knights, 101 anime is Blu-ray versions and they came out of nowhere:
Astonishing X-Men: Dangerous
Astonishing X-Men: Gifted
Astonishing X-Men: Torn
Astonishing X-Men: Unstoppable
Black Panther
Iron Man: Extremis
Marvel Knights Collection - Includes all 8 Marvel Knights released thus far
Spider-Woman: Agent of S.W.O.R.D.
Thor And Loki: Blood Brothers

So what anime will you guys be licensing next? I'm really hoping for fullmetal panic!

101 Films Doesn't look like there's any more Anime unfortunately, just films at present

Didn't like their approach anyway.

It IS a good pickup though regardless.
The Magi manga seemed to be selling ridiculously well at the MCM expo, to the point that when I finally decided to buy a copy I couldn't find a single volume.
If the BD is a Kaze release though I'll be avoiding it like the plague.

Agreed, I've been waiting for them to go away but people seem to keep bringing it back. God damn Bleach.

I believe the reason AniplexUSA aren't doing a BD release is because the JP BD's only finished their release run about a month ago.
Unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if this is a Kaze release, especially considering they have released it in FR and had it on Anime on Delay.

I have high expectations for Magi and I would like to see what the dub is like before watching it, but I'll probably hold out in hope that Aniplex do a BD release though.
I may pick this up depending on whether Aniplex announce a BD or not.

Hmmm good point. If it were Kaze, that could explain the lack of notice for this too.

I really liked what I read of Magi in manga form, but I never got beyond the first few eps of the anime. I hear the anime got Hiroyuki Yoshino'd by the end of the first season, but I'd like to give it another bash with less Yuuki Kaji.

Of course it's Khazi. That zombie keeps on twitching. Amazon lists the DVD as a 3 disc set which is a tell-tale sign for them (ie Penguindrum and Nura). On the bright side, Magi isn't a title with copious Japanese on screen text that needs translating, so subtitles shouldn't be that screwy. But I bet they find some way to screw it up. Putting it on BD 25s would be my guess. I had a look at my check discs, and it looks as if Khazi have released one title on a BD 50 (The Shinkai movie) and that's it. Cheapskates!

EDIT: Manga have confirmed it's being released although not the label.

EDIT AGAIN: Yup Khazi!
