Also it looks like the ANN podcast did some more info about the fall of CSM regarding the license, summary:
- He's not getting out any time soon.
- He hadn't finished paying for the license and was financing it with student loans.
- He hadn't actually received all the materials, just the scripts (Neil had to 'source' the video himself to work on the translation).
- Going to conventions when specifically barred from interacting with minors is a bad idea.

If you can't wait for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods to arrive, Hong Kong's release has English Subtitles.

Except it won't please me because it's Naruto.
This is the first Viz Bluray Release which doesn't have a ****** cover. I could still be wrong though, and It might just be that the design works as an O-Card but not as a case cover.

I wish Viz would actually work on and massively improve their design. The covers for T&B/Lagrange and even Accel World look worse than something MVM would come up with - and that's saying something. I do however find it funny that Viz Media in the US put out good quality discs with extras but poor cover design, whilst Viz Media Europe (Kaze) put out piss poor quality discs with no extras yet good cover design. Why can't either of them get both right?

Because if they joined together, they'd get both wrong.

(inserts drum roll joke)

To be honest, yeah the cover is meh.

Speaking of meh, guess what Funimation does next! More Dragon Ball Z! Seasons 1-9 of Orange Bricks collection and Movie collection.

The artwork chosen on those titles you've mentioned does seem rather bland and uninspired, or would you say it extends further to the choice of logo font/placement? I've certainly noticed that the BBFC logo and Double Disc icons we get on some of our UK covers throws the balance off.

Everything. Text font, Text Placement. Everything about Viz's covers just looks completely meh.
Their spines are equally uninspired - usually just a block colour with the show logo and SET X - EPISODES X - XX in a tacky looking font.
I suppose part of the reason why I think their covers look so bad it that the other main US distributors generally do a really good job when it comes to cover design, especially Sentai.

I noticed folks in Australia and New Zealand can access Kill la Kill on Crunchyroll now after Madman's muck up.

You could almost play a drinking game with the amount of times they say 'Nothing to report'.

One of the main things I hate about Manga Entertainment is they always respond with that statement, I find it lazy and just a simple copy/paste. A good example is how All the Anime respond, theirs is rather interesting to read. MVM's responses were also acceptable.

Considering some of the internet backdraft that would occur when Jerome was the sole person in charge of their Twitter account, I think "nothing to report" is an acceptable answer

Glad to hear Eureka Seven AO is coming soon anyway (@adibdob is me).

Alongside One Piece Collection 5, Naruto Shippuden: Lost Tower, Evangelion 3.33, Fairy Tail Collection 1 (BD Only) and Blood-C The Last Dark for Q1 2014 (if you didn't know already).

Myself;Yourself coming to USA by Maiden Japan, subtitled DVD (Region 1). It's available to watch on Crunchyroll for free if you want to try it out.

The North American anime licensing company Maiden Japan announced on Thursday that it has licensed the Myself; Yourself television anime series. The company will work with Section23 Films to release the series digitally and on subtitled DVD. The 13-episode series adapts Yeti's romance adventure game of the same name. The series revolves around Sana Hidaka, who left his hometown of Sakuranomori only to return five years later to finish high school while living alone in an apartment owned by his parents. Sana worries if his old friends will still recognize him and want to be friends with him again.

Yasuhiro Kuroda (Kämpfer, Modern Magic Made Simple) directed the anime under chief director Tetsuaki Matsuda (episode director for Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) at animation studio Dogakobo with scripts by Go Zappa (Koihime Musō, NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them!). The series starred Shinnosuke Tachibana as Sana Hidaka, Takehito Koyasu as Syūsuke Wakatsuki, Ami Koshimizu as Nanaka Yatsushiro, Ayumi Murata as Hinako Mochida, Mai Nakahara as Asami Hoshino, Megumi Toyoguchi as Yuzuki Fujimura, Tomoko Kaneda as Aoi Oribe, and Yukari Tamura as Syuri Wakatsuki.

As said before, Aniplex will be announcing some new titles (possibly existing ones with home releases [Cardfight!! Vanguard, Nekomonogatari Kuro & Valvrave the Liberator are possible candidates] or maybe some other Aniplex related titles [Welcome to the Space Show in particular still hasn't got a US release despite receiving a cinema release with Wolf Children at NYICFF] via live on YouTube.

Yoshiuki Sadamoto has drawn an Akira-themed cover for the Anime Busience magazine to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film:

Much as I appreciate Sadamoto's artwork, I cannot unsee Shinji.

Unfortunately one episode was missing or broken or something, I held off on watching the later episodes because they were supposed to be fixing it, but they removed the later episodes on schedule anyway and suddenly stopped before streaming the whole thing anyway. Eventually saw the end on DVD.
