The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

A stop motion short has been made of the Yotsuba&! character Danbo.

I so wish they would make an actual Yotsuba anime. I know Azuma himself says he doesn't think it would adapt well, but I want to see it happen so badly.

Ouch. They are normally so good with the QC, (though I did recently spot a typo on the Bakemonotagari Subs)

I believe it is just a labelling error (and only on the DVD version). Good that they're fixing it as always!

Here in the UK we have it happen so often that it's almost a standard feature :D

It's not a content issue, it's just that the labels are incorrect (disc one is actually disc two and vice-versa).

Ah. RightStuf's FB said it was a content issue.

I can see how that could be confusing though.

That's not something to be proud of.

Come on it is :p but dont give them any ideas or will be paying more the privilege

I'm not an audiophile by any means, but isn't it strange that the Dub audio for SAO is only DD 2.0 @ 640kbps whilst the JP audio is Linear PCM?
I would've thought that if anything it would be the other way round.

Audio on native Japanese releases is normally LPCM (the Madoka movie blu-rays are an exception as the audio on them are DTS-HD MA) and is more commonly converted to DD 2.0 or 5.1 (the US release of the Madoka TV series and (probably as I'd have to double check) K-On! on blu-ray have LPCM audio options for both English and Japanese) so they've probably left the Japanese audio as it is and not done LPCM for the English side.

Apologies, perhaps the bitter sarcasm in the remark was too subtle :p
