MangaUK want thoughts on this mock-up for Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine:

I'm torn tbh, as it looks really stylish, but I do wonder about a front cover openly displaying a nipple and how that'd affect its display on the high street shelves. Personally, I'd love if it they could use that artwork, but then also have a more display-friendly slipcover.

Pretty damn bold choice, looks good but can they get away with it?

Haha, are they for real with that cover? I think it looks great, but I can't imagine it being the final design.
I can't imagine stores wanting to sell it with a cover like that. Maybe if there was an outer slip cover with different artwork.

If you'll excuse the rowdy language; You've got to love the balls on Manga but I'm not quite sure the stores will appreciate the Tits on Fujiko.

Then again, I call back to the HoTD OVA cover and, well, yeah.

That's an absolutely fantastic looking cover. Really different and stands out so well. I don't think the nipple on view should really be a problem as it's just letting people know what to expect in the actual show, plus stores think anime is for weirdos anyway and shove it small sections to the back corner of the shop so it's not as if "normal" folks are going to see it, a lot of DVDs (at least in the anime sections in my HMVs) actually sit side on, and finally, it's sexy so we must have it.

Apart from buying it from their stand at a convention I think UP1 is the only place you can purchase it, and I assume their just an online shop?

For Those playing at home those are the "Put Digimon on DVD" guys.

Which is interesting because now they're going into ADV and VIZ's libraries now (Though Gash has been in a legal quarry ever sense Shogakukan screwed with the artist) on top of Saban (Saban having gotten the rights to YGO from 4kids) and this, if they don't go with Knights of the Zodiac (Which I Hope to high heaven they don't) will be the first time they've had a dual language release.
