I also highly doubt that the Bluray will be cancelled since MVM are sharing the costs with Hanabee in Australia.
Unless Hanabee is printing them with BBFC logos on, MVM will still need to get them them duplicated in the UK. Having access to masters hasn't stopped Manga having problems making ends meet.

And that appears to have been the case with Kids on the Slope. MVM and Hanabee logos on the discs as well as the BBFC/Australian Ratings.
Funnily enough when playing the discs themselves there is no mention of MVM, just the Hanabee logo on bootup.

Personally, I'm waiting for the Bluray. I think that anyone who's a fan of this series already will be doing the same, the DVDs are likely selling to those who haven't watched it and are blind buying or anyone not that bothered with the bluray, and I'd imagine most fans of this show would rather have it on blu.

If Medaka Box and Nisemonogatari are any indication, I'd throw anything associated with NisiOisiN against the wall too.

Get out

Okay, Nise was easily the weakest of the Monogatari series, but I liked Medaka Box...though, I think I was one of the few truth be told.

I lost paitnce with Nise when the first half was an extended family guy skit only without the cutaways (Just because you mention Eva doesn't mean you're suddenly some god of comedy, alright?) and from all sources, that when in no likable (or barely legal) direction PDQ.

Medaka Box is a parody of Jump comics and all the problems that surrounds that little bit of the Manga industry that fails to address that the fact it's a really ****** battle comics is a problem.

Also the dood has an awful want for

Maybe Bakemonogatari's sales are low because the market where HSoTD, One Piece and Naruto out-sell every other home video release by a country mile isn't the right one for it.
It could be worse, it's not as if HSoTD is that bad, it just isn't that good either.
It is not a quality issue, it is more the nature of the demographics which those shows represent.

Well I haven't seen it but if I do get it, it will be on blu ray as I kind of buy stuff primarily in this format these days.

As promised a few weeks back, Kodansha have published several volumes of all thier stuff (iirc, basically everything bar Sailor Moon and Negima) in ebook forum as worldwide and platform wide as humanly possible.

Most books are in the £5 range (omnibus are £10) with small variation.

Edit: Ok, here's what's going on;

Genshiken Second Season (both volumes from what I see) is bugged on Amazon Kindle Bookstore so it is not in the Comic Book format that amazon uses, causing it to bug out on Kindle clients (and probably on Kindle Fire Devices)

Other Kodansha items (Or at least Genshiken Omnibus #2) are not affected, you can tell if a volume is affected if it can be downloaded with the Kindle Client for Windows 7 or Mac (as comic books are not supported using that client as of current)

So, for just now, if you plan on buying Kodansha manga on the Kindle Store, check to say if it says "Available for these clients", that's your hint that it's not a bugged book. If it says "Optimised for larger screens" then it's bugged and should be avoided until sorted by Kodansha.

The Bleach manga has gone on a 5 week hiatus and according to Weekly Shonen Jump, when it returns the final arc "The 1000 Year Blood War - The Separation Arc" begins.

Although considering the Karakura Town arc took place over a single day and this final arc is set to take place over 9....xD

Seems to be a fair amount of freaking out going on that they are forcing him to end things with a year or two. Though I fail to see why letting him take a big break = finish quicker, they are slowing it down by 5 weeks by default :)

Didn't he call the start of this arc the last arc?

But if jump's told him to knock his nonsense off then my respect for the fetted publication might just reach positive numbers yet!

He did. However, remember that to Tite Kubo, the Arrancar saga was one "arc".

EDIT: English subbed trailer for Madoka Magica: The Rebellion

Ah right. Yeah, Kubo should have been given the same metaphorical boot to the pavement that's had Togashi's name on it since about 05.

Viz Media has properly confirmed they no longer have the license for Monster (ANN Podcast / Fandom Post), therefore someone else will have to pick it up for US/Canada. Siren Visual has the license for Australia for DVD Parts from November onwards.

Funimation is the best candidate for Monster unless Aniplex ends up with it and releases it in one boxset for £200, which would be disastrous for Otakukind.

Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians returns in July, Complete Series with HD subbed.
Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor returns in August, Complete Series with HD subbed.

Streaming on Funimation.com, which is useless for us though we aren't fussed about Ikki.
