Oh that's just superb. If I'd known that a while back I wouldn't have bought the first DVD set... one disc of which got all scratched up, making it difficult to sell on. Slow clap.

Most (or maybe all) of Media Blasters BDs have been region-free so you might not need that multi-region player.

Well, if I do eventually get a HD DVD for my bedroom, the BD I'll eventually get for that will be multi-regional for convenience anyways.

But yeah, the nightmares of the poor DVD case has stopped me from ordering part 1, despite it being really cheap.

Media Blasters are releasing Squid Girl on Blu-Ray in March. Hopefully I'll have sorted out a multiregional by then xD

Wow, I thought we were past this kind of business Mr. US anime industry, but maybe not. First Phantom from Funi the other week, now this.

Good news outside of the odd timing, though, I might just give the DVDs to my sister or cousin since they were so cheap.
 
Yes! Now we're even closer to the announcement that Robert Patterson really is going to play Kaneda, then all we're waiting on is Joaquin Phoenix and we're good to go!!!

I have a premonition that this will end in tears somewhere (probably Manga's for making a throwaway remark that the fans rallied on). I'm not signing as I won't buy it again (and they'd probably drop season two anyway when the 3000 signatures don't turn into 3000 sales), but good luck.

These sort of things don't really get anywhere unless you get a big name to support it, and I doubt there are any who would.
