Can anyone recommend a multi region blu-ray player? Tired of trawling through hundreds of blu-ray players which can only play multi region dvds.

True multi regions don't exist anymore, all you can get is one which has been hacked into thinking it's a multi-regional player, which don't come cheap

There used to be a Toshiba model which could have been loaded with Aussie firmware but those are rare

That's what I was afraid of. My first 'true' multi region dvd player finally died the other night (10 - 15 years old, so not too bad) and that was £500+, so I don't mind paying a fair amount for it as long as it has the same sort of life span.

Thanks for the link fabricatedlunatic, will have a browse in the morning, when I'm a bit more awake.

Just clocked that Rui's avatar isn't the lion's face I thought it was. Was I the only one that thought it was a Lion? Pretend the splog of ink is a nose and that the eyes are covered by it's mane and you'll see where I was coming from.

vashdaman, you're weird :)

4 day week :)

And hopefully it should be quiet with the majority of the army off on their holidays and staff taking a (in some cases enforced) week off :) Can't really audit when the places are closed up and managers on holiday now :p

13 days ago, my copy of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Rebellion LE was dispatched from RightStuf. Still no ransom note from HMRC and I've phoned my local depot and it isn't there.

Guess it's time to contact RightStuf.

EDIT: RightStuf gave me the tracking information:

04/14/2014 10:20 Accepted by local post office
04/14/2014 09:50 Arrived in destination country
04/11/2014 02:16 Departed from USA
04/10/2014 17:04 Accepted by US Post Office

My local post office has had it for THREE DAYS?!

'Local post office' likely refers to the customs sorting office in this instance. Not unusual for things to take a while to get through, I mean, an incredible amount of mail is brought into the country each day and it isn't unusual for them to take a week or more to actually process incoming mail and redistribute. Be patient. If nothing else, consider what time of year it is. There's going to be a big surge of mail either side of this weekend (not helped by two consecutive postal holidays), so just hang tight, eh? Honestly though, did you really thing it was processed and shipped off from London to Cambridge in under a hour?
In regards to this time year - what do people even post at Easter? I mean, I could understand if it was something like Christmas, but people don't really send Easter cards or post chocolate *shrugs*. Usually, an order from RightStuf takes about a week to get here (including customs time), so for it to take twice as long is weird - something even my local depot pointed out.

"Local Post Office" meaning the customs sorting office does make sense (especially as the tracking doesn't mention customs. They'll probably want me to sign off a kidney and my first born son in VAT and handling fees).

Am glad it's the bank holiday weekend that's for sure, gonna catch up with some old friends. Been going away on work training trips, so I've not been able to get into this anime season alas.

I should be getting my first paycheque in a couple of weeks, am really looking forward to that :D

Hey man, if it makes me any less weird, I want to go on record and state that I got cold feet about getting into BL for strictly above board purposes of personal growth. I still think I should maybe give that a whirl though.

Is it just me, or is it quite rude to receive a package for your neighbour, open the outer (Amazon) packaging, then leave it all outside their door while they are away? Whenever we get a package, we check to see who it's for, then either wait until we know they are home to personally hand it to them, or wait until they come over to get it (since they will have received one of those 'missed package' notices). Unfortunately, they don't reciprocate. Won't change how we receive their packages, but it's annoying to know they won't afford us the same courtesy.

I know I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill, but just wanted to get it off my chest. :p

Hmm, I didn't think it was that serious; just that it was rather rude. I just saw this on the Citizen's Advice Bureau website:

If your post has been delivered to someone else’s home, the person who receives it is not allowed to open it. Post cannot be opened if someone knows or suspects it has been delivered to the wrong address.

If you believe your mail has been opened by someone else or tampered with, you should report it to Royal Mail on 08457 740 740 (Textfone 08456 000 606).

I'm pretty sure they knew it was delivered to the wrong address since someone actually signed for it, according to Amazon - they even gave the name of the person who signed. That being said, I'm reluctant to pursue it at this stage. We're almost always in when packages arrive. It's been a while since our neighbour has accepted one for us, and I don't think they've done it before, so it may have been a mistake. Maybe it was sat around and someone else in the family opened it before realising it wasn't for them. Plus, we have to live next to these people in a 5-person cul de sac.

If it were to happen again, I'll have a word with them. Third time, and I'll notify Royal Mail.

Maybe it might be worth just speaking to them, about how you're grateful that they accepted the package while you were out, but wish that they wouldn't open your mail.
