The General Conversation Area

Fare enough :p

I must admit I spend most of my mobile internet time on Facebook and Twitter. It's way too accessable. When I'm at my PC it's forums and online gaming. I have no idea how I would survive without the internet now.
*shudders at the thought*
I should use the MangaApp more often. It's just hard to read while your pretending to listen to your missus talking. Heh.

:p I use my ipod for listening to podcasts/audiobooks, playing games and general internet browsing.

get home and usually the ps3 and tv gets put on straight away, PSN automatically signs me in.

In work im always signed into NHS.net (people no longer complain about my internet usage as i'm happy to sit and work on nhs.net when nobody else understands/wants to deal with it) on the forums and general browsing the webs.

I'm off now mate, i leave you with this:

"Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavours......and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?"

And

"A bus station is where bus' stop, a train station is where trains stop.......is a work station where work stops?"

I noticed Funi where quick to get a licence for "Ookami-san", only five episodes in and it's solid prof on wiki (though I'm sure it says on there site as well).

So you know that's something else to note in the anime news section. I'm just popping it here from pure laziness

I'm back to normal now so i'll probably transfer £200 into the savings and try and build it back up.
Good man

Hah! In that case, try working in the NHS. I deal with managers on a daily basis, now most of them i'm on good terms with, but there's always the odd one that'll suddenly start throwing titles and names at others to get things "i'm the manager of XYZ" "I'm good friends with the PA to the director of Blah Blah Blah".
I wouldn't class co-workers as business people. Specially in the public sector.

Voddas (and others, I suppose), do you have the CrunchyRoll app? I don't use it half as much as I should, but its pretty freaking excellent. The stuff looks amazing and high quality through it. I think its wi-fi only currently though.

Yeah, only problem is that streaming video rapes your bandwidth usage if you're on even a moderately restrictive contract. I'd probably still use it a fair bit if it wasn't wi-fi only, though.

Morning all,

Had a good evening, playing Uncharted 2 with Afoia and Aya-kun. I fell asleep listening to Citizen cope - sideways and woke up at 2.55 and realised that the ps3 and tv where still on. So i'm more than abit tired today lol.

When i get my new ipod, i'm tempted to get the crunchyroll app, dispite my reluctance to use it, it just means i can watch anime on the move. (but likewise, i do enjoy watching things on a tv rather than a smaller screen)

@chaos: i was more referring to the "having to report to someone of authority" as you where talking about smaller business' having to report directly to the boss. rather than a large company where you only really report to your team leader/dept manager. Not the directors of the company/service :p

In that way i deal with the managers/boss' of units and hospitals....but i only ever report to my team leader :p

Morning Tachi (and any other AUKNites around),

Man I'm tired today. I was still awake at 3.45am! I'm partly to blame but I'm blaming Fullmetal Alchemist. I only had eight more episodes to watch before the end of the series and Sarah went to bed at 11.45pm. I thought to myself "I could just watch a couple before bed". But whenever I think that, I should have known what would happen.

I feel lost now I've completed it. It was an awesome series and I will most definately be getting it on Blu-ray upon it's release. *sad sigh*

Hah, I didn't even know there was an App?! I 've just checked it out and as it is free I have now downloaded it too. I'll have a mess around with it later me thinks. One question though (Tachi briefly mentioned), with watching it on a smaller screen, does that not compramise the enjoyment? I think I'll be good with it but I would have thought it'd be a major strain reading subs? =_=

Morning, and yeah, joing the club... i was up for a early night but ended up watching Ghosttown again and listening to music, then kayls called and then my dad was running around the house because he could smell smoke.

Nobody else could smell smoke, maybe he's going mad :p

Turn the iphone horizontal...double tap the screen when its streaming the video...it'll turn into "widescreen" mode.

You took your time coming online. i've been browsing the forums and there's some weird and wonderful threads about lol

Sorry man, been a busy beaver this morning. Had a meeting to start (which was less than riveting). Then we had a rush of jobs due to a late open of buisness. Calmed down again now like. Hoping for an easy one today. Don't think redbull is going to save me this time. *faceplants keyboard*

zzzzzzzzzz........ ALPHONSE!!!!!!!! *looks around confused*

Sorry, must have dozed off there. :p

I've watched things off my iPhone before Tach.
Just not watched many if any subs. I'd imagine it's not great for the old eyes like.

PS. Sorry to hear about your dad going mad.

He loves his talk, dark, heavy metal? Too much Metallica is to blame. :)
Hi all. Ouch - A meeting after a bad nights sleep? I had that for my Health/safety course... I still passed the test at the end (piece of piss really.) But I wanted the day to end quickly, especially since I thought we'd finished at about 1pm, but finished at around 3:15pm...

Chaz covered me pritty well though. :thumb:

Moring people! Besides the common theme of tiredness (which is a regular vists to this thread), hows all doing. Anything to report?

Huh? AHAAAA! For some reason my work PC can now access Youtube? Blocking FAIL! Love it. =D

I had a fire training course recently, I was so nervous but all I did was use some fire extinguishers and he said "Thats it you've all passed, you will receive you're certificates soon". Win

Gah! I got slapped with last post on page syndrome!

I've done a few H&S courses. They were a piece of piss like. It's all common sense. Food & Hygiene was slightly harder, though it was pritty informative about the contents of McDonald products. o_O Needless to say, it put me off for quite some time.

Edit: @Tachi. What host service did you use to link those pictures in the gaming thread this morning? I can never usually see pictures that are linked on my work PC but I can see those ones?

*Yawns and stretches*

Another email to the seller on amazon....Hopefully i'll get a reply before the day is out. 4th time asking for a tracking number....here's hoping the muppet features actually sent it.

Looking forward to next thursday off. and the following friday off too. 4 day weeks can't be faulted :)

Listening to Ricky gervais, karl pilkington and Stephen merchant on an audiobook guide to... philosophy and then medicine.

Neeeeeed energy drink *slouches back into his chair*

@voddas: i just used a google search and got the URL. pasted it into my message in the box at the bottom of the thread and typed
at the end, sorted :thumb:

Oh yeah! I forgot you could do that. *facepalm* I actually already knew that. It must be one of those senior moments I've heard about.

I wish our vending machine sold chilled energy drinks. Sometimes, coffee just doesn't cut it when it's hot in the office. Actually... thinking about it, it's probably a good thing they don't stock them. I'd probably be wired to the eyeballs all day every day if it was available to me. Heh.

haha,

Well just be thankful you have a vending machine....i don't.
I'll have one and a cafe in the Lister hospital. but i'll lose the ability to go get proper food for lunch, i can't walk up the high st. or visit shops. Not toogood really :/

Hopefully i'll be able to use the forums still. otherwise i'll quit, that'd be the last straw for me.

Have £6 in change, what to get for lunch hmmmmm
*drools whilst thinking about mars milkshake*
