I remember the days when one had to make an excursion to Sainsbury's just to obtain a 330ml can of such a nectar. Its scarcity back then made us treat it as if it were liquid gold — liquid gold that was safe to ingest.

I know exactly where your coming from. I like the taste of it, but if it hasn't got any carbonated bubbles in it, its just abit too thick for me.

Are you guys going to watch the expendables? jason statham, sly, arnie, jet lee and a cast of other legendary hardmen all in one film! sounds like it could be one of the most entertaining films in history. or....it could flop like a fish lol.

THis weekend, i have a choice....i either head off straight after work and get a bus to hitchin and go out tonight in stevenage with Toby (old technician tutor from college who's now a good mate of mine) and crash at his new flat tonight/sat morning. or i go home, sort out a few things (washing and the like) then chill with a few beers and just enjoy not having to work. prolly start on heavy rain this weekend. need to finish off uncharted 2 still lol i blame aya-kun and afoia

How about you? anything planned or are you doing some more DIY and gig'in? :p
Hmm, night out sounds good... but so does staying in with a beer and the PS3. I think staying in would be my choice. But that's just me and wanting to save some pennys. =P

This weekend it's my night for the family "Come Dine With Me". So I'm spending the most part of Saturday preparing food for 6 people! The first night was my mums and she's got score cards and a camera on a tripod to film the comments. Hah! I just sat there and laughed my arse off 10 minutes (I was drunk at the time) on her night. Not looking forward to the stress but looking forward to the drinking. Heh.

Good thing I like cooking.

Morning Zin. *greets*

I think i'll save the pennies and go out later in the weekend for a nice little social drink :p

Your doing a family "come dine with me" thats genius.
could turn out nasty if you went round and said "the decorations are taccy and the food was horrible, but she's my mum....so i'll give her a 7" lol

Give em hors de'voures or whatever their called. basically go down to iceland and buy a couple of quid packs of cocktail sausages and wrap bacon over em, sprinkle a little chives over em and bang em in the oven for 15-20mins. and those little quiches  instant win if they like that sort of stuff.

Expendables....thoughts?

Hi all!
@Tachi - Night out? Depends if you're bothered about the weather. You'll be in doors most of the time anyways I guess, but it is gonna be nasty until Sunday.

@Voddas - I was thinking about cooking for my dad on his b-day (end of month), but not sure what to do. Its on a friday, so I should have the whole day to prepare anyways.
Since he always give a "perfect" score of 9, I expect no less than 8! XD

Actually I gave her an 8. :p

I'm going all out and doing a chinese style night. I've got chop sticks and fortune cookies! Starters are Crispy Pork and Spring Rolls, Ham and Prawn Rolls, Prawn Carckers and Sticky Chicken scewers! For Main I'm serving Sweet and Sour Pork and Spicy Beef Satay with a choice of Noodles or Egg Fried Rice. For desert I'm doing Caramalised banana with coconut or vanilla Ice cream! Everything made from scratch too.
Do you think that'll be enough?

Damn stright I'm looking forward to it! I don't holdtoo much faith in the story line but I have a feeling I'm going to love everything else. It's gonna be a typical man's wet dream on screen!
(in the action movie sense) ;)

edit: Morning Chaz. You should always cook when ever you get the chance. Not only is it healthier but women love a man that can cook good food.
*nudge nudge wink wink*

Well, I did have "Bubble and squeek" yesterday... *Silence fills the air...*
Ahem... Yeah, I'd like to try out new stuff myself. I have a mixed pallet of what I can cook:
Meat Roast with veg, Indian curries, Fajitas, meat with home-made chips, B+S. Everything else is you packet foods like Birdeye and such...

So yeah, may dip into the ol' cook book to find more recipies.

Well Chaz that's probably more than most guys can do. The only reason I cook so much is mainley down to my mum being an awesome cook. Plus, stuff always tastes better when you make it yourself (95% of the time anyway.)

This Chinese night is really going to be putting pressure on my skills. I'm having to start prep work tonight there's so much to do!

I'll see you that..and raise you!
How about this morning?!

Yeah, i won 8)

I agree with voddas, being able to cook keeps the ladies happy (as your doing your fair share) and its fun to experiment with food. just not too much. adding tomato sauce with jacobs crackers and serving it up with icecream is an example of going abit too much "out of the box"

Well, amazon have replied. their going to perform an investigation.
The temptation to start spamming the guys emails with "you stupid mother***ker" and the such like is hard to suppress. but if i do that i'll prolly ruin my chances for getting my money back.

if i ever found out who they truly are in person.....i don't think i'd hold many punches :p

i swear to god. if this stupid co in the office carries on eating with her mouth open....she's getting thrown out of the window.

*shoots Tachi with a tranq*

Take a chill pill Tach. You'll end up hurting someone getting worked up like that.

Woo! Food just got delivered for lunch! Club Sub as per every Friday! Hungry now can't wait to eat. 5 mins and counting!
*salivate*

I cant stop thinking of typical chav chewing gum with their mouth open... But yeah, it is disgusting. If she bothers you again, tell her. "Would you mind not chewing so openly?" and if they reply with some cheap-ass comeback, go over her and do the same. Then she'll see how bad it is when crums are falling on her face.

Thanks man,

I've put on some Santana & Citizen Cope - Sideways, mellow out for abit.

Im stayin home tonight, then tomorrow i'm staying in hitchin, then sunday i'm with kayls. it seems that these days i spend less and less time at home, and more time staying with friends. I might clear a week and spend time with the family.

Lunch in 25mins, go and chill outside for half an hour :)

@chaz: if i was in a normal laid back mood i'd do that. todays more of a "stop being such a disgusting cow" sort of approach lol.

I can't wait for rock band 3, real guitars, it basically teaches you how toproperly play :) that'll be good.

Just some sand witches... erm, sandwiches. ;)
Aye, it's my day off, so I'm taking it easy too. Gonna have some bangers and mash tonight, looking forward to it. :D

Can't go wrong with bangers and mash. Simple food that hits the spot.

Just got back from lunch. not hungry but Leo talked me into buying a large big mac meal.
I've decided that i'm going to make a start on heavy rain tonight.

I'm back and I'm full! (well I was back an hour ago but I've been busy) That was a tasty treat as usual. ^^

Right! Got some prepping to do tonight for Saturday but planning on having a few beers and chilling with a movie. Trouble is, I have no idea what I fancy watching. I've got loads to choose from like. Anyone know any good comedies that have been out recently (as in the past few years)? I've got Funny People saved on my Sky+. Is that any good?
