Fox - finish slayers and order shigurui online if you must.
I should be doing courses on Compilers, Databases, Computer Security, 2 courses on AI and something on Information Flow.

Compilers is cool, Databases is one of my specialties, computer security is not for me, AI can be both good or bad dependind on what you're going to study and information flow, although I have no idea what the curriculum is, sounds like a filler course to me - sounds like being a sequence / state diagram design sort of thing.Jiindama said:I should be doing courses on Compilers, Databases, Computer Security, 2 courses on AI and something on Information Flow.
Jiindama said:It probably will turn out to be a filler course, the alternatives though were Computational Complexity or Lambda Calculus.
I've had enough of asymptotic bounds now, and don't want a course on analysing problems to decide if they're P or NP etc.
Lambda Calculus could be okay, but I suspect it could be a harder course, and having been told the Information Flow course was fun but useless I think I'd prefer that. That and if I want some form of coding job once I finish Information Flow is vastly more likely to be useful compared to Lambda Calculus.
I kinda like the computational complexity one though... In anycase, yes, I agree that information flow is useful, I just think it's a dull subject and can be learned elsewhere (such as on the job). Other than this is basically learning the notations, which can be done with a good reference book in a couple of hours. I have a soft spot for anything that's useful for algos though, as I made a career out of it.Jiindama said:It probably will turn out to be a filler course, the alternatives though were Computational Complexity or Lambda Calculus.
