The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

I have no idea how Aion can afford that level of constant purchasing. How do you do it? :O

Uzumaki is good (not 10/10 material or anything, you're right!) and probably worth owning. I think it falls apart at the end though.

Credit card. The statement comes every month and then I have at least a few weeks to pay before I get charged extra. I somehow manage to just about not go over my limit without thinking about it.

If I had to pay by cash on hand, I wouldn't be able to. I've spent too much since my last statement, so I'm expecting a rather nasty bill this time. On manga alone, I've spent around £100, so... >___<

Ditto, this is what happens to me.

Aion, are you a male escort or something? You always have money, Jesus Christ.

I bought Ouran part 1 today as I said I would, I bought this publicly, no one can top that potential level of embarrassment.

Also got Parasyte 7, will read soon.

An action worthy of a real man :thumb:

I bought the Tsubasa/xxxHolic movie DVD, though I suspect I'll only bother watching half of it as Tsubasa looks annoying.

Agreed, serious man points there Lupus.

20th Century Boys Volume 2 by Naoki Urasawa. Awesome, the best comic I've read in ages. Picked up a copy of Monster too, heard lots of good things but never got around to reading it

Had a look through PlayUSA to hunt for cheap and interesting sounding titles. I found five. I ordered them all because they're all out of stock and I want to see how fast/slow PlayUSA are at sending things they don't have on-hand.

Kashimashi = lesbians.
Phoenix = unknown gem, based on a highly regarded manga.
Midori Days = supposedly decent rom-com.
Gokusen = female equivalent of GTO.
Galaxy Railways = space drama, somehow involving trains.

Hmm, The Gokusen. I'll have me some of that for a tenner. Good spot. Now for some uninvited comments on your other purchases:

Midori Days is surprisingly enjoyable shounen romance, though you might have trouble accepting the show's rather odd premise (which is never adequately explained). Kashimashi wasn't quite what I was expecting. It's a total cop-out, really, and quite a bizarre one at that.

lol, exactly what I was going to say. Lack of "realism" + subservient girl = probably not for Aion.

So did Captain Herlock, but the 13 episode series I got turned out to be quite a dull - a 6-7/10 affair. I'm not sure what to expect with Galaxy Railway...

My credit card bill will seriously hurt. I wanted to get the volumes for less and thought I might be able to since two different people listed auctions for volumes 6-11, but those auctions ended up going for more than the new prices. :/

Bought or seen all those and I pretty much enjoyed them all.
Phoenix might be a bit slow for you.
Gokusen is pretty good and has now got me interested in GTO (which I don't have yet).
Kashimashi is a gender swap yuri.
Midori Days is pretty funny.
Galaxy Railways is not a bad sci fi if you can get over trains as spacecraft. (probably order this myself at that price)
