The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

It's got a release date of November on Sentai's website. I don't think Rightstuf will get it for release judging by how long it took them to get Haikyu season 4.
 
My third batch to Stackry has now begun, this time on Rightstuf. The first batch was from Sentai's store last month and the second batch was dedicated to two Limited Run Games Switch titles from eBay. Basically I want to see how well this approach does from Rightstuf directly and I will decide from there if its worthwhile.

So previous batches had been smaller items but this time its the usual big bulk which includes a combination of Discotek Media Blu-rays (I think all of them are OVAs) as well as the Re:ZERO Season 2 limited edition which is now in stock on the store (and given the popularity of the franchise I expect the LE to sell out within the first few weeks or so).

Due to how this method has been taken, I don't expect the package to arrive this month as I am also making use of the free shipping which is said to take about 7-14 working days. So that combined with the Global Mail speed will arrive around early October, which I'm fine with as there's no need for me to rush it out as I didn't pre-order it in advance and there's no point trying to be first in everything (there's no positive value in that approach anyway).

So yeah, look forward to it and I'll do my usual review/thoughts on the service at that time (I will provide another small review for the second batch when it arrives later this month). Let's just say when the third batch arrives it'll be a complete game-changer for future hauls, especially during OOP situations.
 
The plot thickens. Just had another £29 taken from my account from RightStuf, which can only be Sgt Frog. Was it added to the box before it left the warehouse or is it coming separately. No notification of another shipment yet. Next week could be busy (as I try to find somewhere to put all these DVD/BR's).

Hmm, Wikipedia doesn't think much of that!
Eiken was panned by critics for being "obscene" and "lacking substance". Jason Thompson gave the manga a zero-star rating in his review of the series in his Manga: The Complete Guide, calling it "Actual pornography disguised as romantic comedy pseudo-pornography".[
Stig Høgset gave the anime a one-star review on THEM Anime Reviews, calling it "one of the most exploitative, demeaning anime titles I have ever seen". He went on say that "Eiken is like an hour-long nightmare of sexual innuendo of the creepy kind... you'll never find a bigger collection of 'wrong' anywhere else.

Since the Septmber and October 2023 UK home slates are dry for me (with the expectation of A Couple of Cuckoos and Classroom of the Elite S1) I decided to delicate the September Haul to Sentai.

Themanime are great. I've often used them to decide. Their low score means it's a buy. Yes I own it. And I was disappointed no nudity.
It seemed the right choice as an inappropriate replacement.

As I'm on a self imposed tight budget this month, I'm only going for the following from the All the Anime sale

El Hazard The OVAs (it'll sit nicely next to Eiken on the shelf)

Remember when I said that I will doing a Discotek Media Haul, well I decided to do it slightly early, mainly the Symphogear portion of the Discotek Media Haul.
Still looking for other Discotek Media stuff to add to the October Haul aside from Shaman King Original Japanese Version BD.

Brought all of Symphogear as a place order incase we never get a UK release of the franchise 💞

Went on to Amazon to buy something else and got given a coupon. The other thing didn't qualify hence 2 volumes. Seems I'm quite behind on H&M as there's another 2 volumes available. Still haven't read vol. 12 of Yuru Camp and vol 14 is out soon.
