Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise Collector's Combi Pack.

It's rare that I buy anime now. My last purchase to compare was Perfect Blue Collector's Combi Pack. I remember watching Wings of Honneamise when it was broadcast on BBC2 aeons ago. So I'm looking forward to watching it soon and seeing whether it holds up now. My bet is yes. :)

Macross Plus - Ultimate Edition

One of the first things Manga UK ever put out on DVD, I gather - and reasonably cheap second-hand on Amazon I was pleased to see. Have already the individual OVAs, so interested to see how the film cut differs.

Well I needed it anyway (otherwise I would wait long enough to realise it would sell out on me).

Ordered from United Publications (USA):
Fate/Zero - Box Set 2: Limited Edition [Blu-ray]

This will be the last major pickup until MCM Comic Con due to a couple of my pre-orders.

Ordered from Amazon JP:
Gundam: The Origin Vol 1
K: Missing Kings Limited Edition

Took a punt on Gundam. I've never seen anything Gundam before so I thought I'd give the Origin a go. I was going to wait for Viz's release of Missing Kings, but the quality of their recent releases has been abysmal (Sailor Moon, Gargantia). I'd much rather just have a quality release from the get go, and unlike Tiger & Bunny, I have no reason to wait around solely for the dub either since I've seen K in both English and Jap.

Pre-Ordered at Amazon JP:
Code Geass: Akito the Exiled Vol 3 w/Amazon exclusive artbox
Ghost in the Shell ARISE: PYROPHORIC CULT

Continuing with importing the JP volumes of Code Geass and ARISE. I don't really care that much for ARISE at this point, but the completionist in me wants to complete the set. With Geass I almost didn't realise that v3 came with an artbox. V2 had one so I wasn't expecting another box until vol 4. I'd have been so mad if I hadn't realised until after release that it existed since the first box was pre-order only.

Pre-Ordered at UP1USA:
Knights of Sidonia Limited Edition

I keep telling myself that I won't buy anymore Sentai releases due to them being pretty garbage in general (Video Quality/Dubs/Subs), but I really want to see Sidonia, and I like shiny things.
Thankfully Netflix produced the dub, so it won't be the usual Sentai hentai quality dub affair - and with any luck the subtitles will be half decent. I'm expecting the release to be acceptable at worst and great at best.

Was in the same boat, glad I did. Unsure if it was the best place to start (I did some very light Googling afterward just to understand the factions), but really enjoyed what I watched. Looking forward to the next few now.

Also pre-ordered Ghost in the Shell ARISE: PYROPHORIC CULT. Arise is OK in my book, but I'm starting to think the reason I keep buying them is because they always make me go back and watch SAC afterwards...

Anyone have any idea how it breaks down now?

4 TV films, then 2 of whatever PYROPHORIC CULT is, or is PYROPHORIC CULT just film 5? And then a series that's just the films broken up more? I don't think I've read a clear explanation yet.

Pre-ordered/ordered from UP1:
Log Horizon: Parts 1 & 2 (Blu-ray)
The Ambition of Oda Nobuna: Complete Collection (Blu-ray)

Pre-ordered from UP1 (USA):
Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Part 2 Collector's Edition (DVD/Blu-ray + CD)

As far as I'm aware PYROPHORIC CULT is just the new content which will be airing as part of the final few ARISE tv episodes. (Which in itself is just the individual films)

Right, thanks for clearing that up!

So PYROPHORIC CULT is just the last 2 episodes (the new stuff (50 mins total)) of the series (the series which is made up of the 4 previous films), which ties into the new film whenever that happens. Or have I got it wrong again...
