The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

Sainsbury's now have MangaUK's Q2 releases up (and all cheaper than amazon) so I've preordered Okami-san and Her Seven Companions, King of Thorn BD, Penguin Drum, Black Rock Shooter, Bakuman and the FMA Brotherhood complete BD.

And what's going on with the complete Shiki set? It's £42 on Sainsbury's and even more on Amazon, I wouldn't expect it to be more than £30 so why the price hike?e/quote]e/quote]e/quote]e/quote]

I bought both Shiki volumes from UP1, they are £10each at the moment, plus postage. Impossible to get it more cheap than that.

@reborn regarding the Full Metal Alchemist Movie Double Pack DVD.

Getting cheaper than Amazon is easy nowadays. Amazon is pushing the anime prices a lot lately. Its a shame but I'll step back from them a bit as long as they think they are the only anime source in the UK. With the HMV's closing down, they think they control the market or whatever. A lot of my itens in my whishlist has seen their prices gone up between 6 and 10 pounds which is ridiculous because some of them are old stuff.

Hence why i'm not all for the whole 'We have Amazon, HMV is a rip-off thing'. Sadly The Hut Group seem to be focusing more on clothing in general now and their site is horrid. I wish UP1 had price sorting for its listing - since that's how I tend to search through shops.

HMV was the only online shopping site for DVDs I was happy to shop with.

Also now brought:
Maou: Juvenile Remix - vol 4 + 5

So my brother got me a gift voucher for my birthday, which I cashed in today to purchase My Hime: Complete Collection (R1) from a local e-tailer. I expect delivery tomorrow.

amazon have shipped my preorder of dragon ball z season 6 and NGE 3-in-1 vol 2. strange, I didn't think either one came out until the middle/back end of march.

And My-Hime is safely in my grubby mitts, having just been delivered.

Plus I received a shipping notification from Rightstuf for an order comprising:

If I See You in My Dreams OVA Collection
If I See You in My Dreams TV
Kare Kano Graphic Novel 4
Kare Kano Graphic Novel 5
Kare Kano Graphic Novel 7
King of Thorn DVD/Blu-ray
Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion Blu-ray
Shakugan no Shana Season 3 DVD/Blu-ray Part 1
Shakugan no Shana Season 3 DVD/Blu-ray Part 2

Found a site called gundammad selling gundam models and they have the Seed Destiny boxsets 'in stock' at £15 each so I've put an order in and will see if they actually have them. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: Also bought Haruhi Suzumiya #14 and preordered #15 from Waterstones.

Picked up (and watched) Angel Cop. A bit odd but very watchable. Definately an anime of its age (love the screams).

Absolutely love it, especially the over the top violence and the non stop swearing, hilarious.

Re-pre-ordered Flowers of Evil v5, Is this a Zombie? v4, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya v15, The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya and The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya from Book Depository using a 10% off voucher this time around. :D

I haven't seen it myself, but a Korean animation would probably make for a interesting experience. I would probably watch it.

Didn't actually buy today, but I received Devil May Cry Blu-ray which I bought from play for £6.39 in the sale last week. Also got Triage X volume 2.
