The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

What about the other 18?

Presumably like/love

The way the plot shifts does make you think, you could probably predict the way it's going to shift, but you do have to question the truely brutal way they deal with the shiki problem, and I found myself rooting for a few of them despite the fact they'd done some pretty terrible things.

Expecting a big box of Anime today

Heaven's Lost Property Movie: Angeloid of Clockwork
Steins;Gate Part 1 & 2
Qwaser of Stigmata Collection 2
Kampfer Complete Collection
Nisemonogatari Box Set

Pretty random selection, somwhat pricey month it seems

Went to Forbidden Planet yesterday and bought Nana 11, FMA 18 and Tegami Bachi 12.

I was one town over and popped into that Forbidden Planet, man is their Anime expensive, I mean RRP price expensive, 49.99 for some complete series's. The worst thing is that their local HMV is till open, though I swear their prices were higher than my local HMV.

My FP doesn't sell anime any more. It used to but seems to have stopped in the last few years. The one in Newcastle still does, as I go there quite a lot when I'm visiting my parents' and it's wicked expensive other than a few random bargains.

Delivered today, Sword of the Stranger UK BD, Samurai Champloo US BD, Princess Jellyfish US BD/DVD combo.

I eventually cancelled my Siren order for the latter, as it turned out that they didn't have all the extras, and it was only £5 extra to get the US release. Can't play the BD though, but at least I'll have an un-Kaze'd disc to watch.

It's sub locked anyway apparently so I doubt you're missing much.

Yeah, but I doubt they're incompetent enough to have the translated subtitles only with the Japanese audio, and the signs and captions with the English audio, so if you watch the Japanese, you miss most of the plot specific text, of which there is much in Princess Jellyfish. I can live with locked subs and audio, if the subs aren't screwed up from the outset. Still a b*tch for hard of hearing dub fans though. They really ought to leave optional subs for the English audio, even if they lock it for the Japanese to prevent reverse importing.

Eh. Kaze's releases are God awful anyway. The sub locking with every release is another nail in the coffin. I'll avoid Kaze releases when possible.

Are Kaze going to become the new Manga, with their flaws (while undeniably present) being blown out of all proportion until they can do no right? The locking down of their discs is annoying, but I hardly think it classifies as "god-awful". I haven't noticed anything wrong with the sound or picture quality of any of their releases so far.

I also note I'm not the only one afflicted with the quote bug. It seems to be that the first square bracket on the "/quote" tag is disappearing under certain circumstances...

The locking thing is a trite annoying but nothing on the level of what Manga were doing in thier fueled by Naruto and Bleach drunken rampage (the fact that Kaze doesn't have much of a twitter presence helps immensely).

That said, if Kaze could work on getting WSJ out over here that would be appreciated and would score them some nice brownie points.

Sainsbury's now have MangaUK's Q2 releases up (and all cheaper than amazon) so I've preordered Okami-san and Her Seven Companions, King of Thorn BD, Penguin Drum, Black Rock Shooter, Bakuman and the FMA Brotherhood complete BD.

And what's going on with the complete Shiki set? It's £42 on Sainsbury's and even more on Amazon, I wouldn't expect it to be more than £30 so why the price hike?
