Summer 2015 Legal Anime Streaming Thread

Well the current season of Castle sure as fun isn't called "Castle 7" now, is it?

We don't go around talking of Doctor Who 2 (or indeed, 28) being the start of Tennant's Run.

Also, I believe the 24 episodes were confirmed from the start as part of the first production order, so it's not even really the second series...

Mushishi Season 2 (and only season 2) seems to have randomly popped up on Netflix UK.

I found a link (since I can't access Netflix), I guess we should thank Aniplex once again.

By the way, how many episodes does Netflix have on there, as Mushishi Season 2 was split-cour.

Viewster is actually teaming up with Manga US for those (considering I got a manga entertainment logo when I started one of the videos), but thus far only six have appeared and I'm not that impressed since I watched the first episode of Aria the animation and the audio sounded really hollow and there were a few errors in the video.

If you want to watch them, then just get them on DVD since the quality would be a heck of a lot better.

Manga US/Starz have been doing digital distribution for Nozomi/Rightstuf for ages - they've got the same shows up on YouTube, iTunes, the Sony store etc. and the "Manga by Starz" app on my Smart TV.

Hmm. we might even have Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works on Netflix as well. Someone check on that for me (like I said, I can't access Netflix.. well I can access the link but I can't view the episode list or the genre list).
Just checked, not showing up with any episodes.

Strange, perhaps it was an accident. Oh well, was hoping Aniplex would offer their titles on Netflix for us considering they did it for Irregular and now Mushi-shi: Next Passage.

The 1st season has been added to the USA region of Netflix so we might get it on UK but the USA also has Fate/Zero which the UK region doesn't have.

Some pretty good stuff on Viewster there. When will we get Blu-ray releases of Aria and Aoihana/Sweet Blue Flowers? I was thinking "never" but there do seem to be Japanese Blu-rays for both (well, the Aria ones may not be out yet). Now I've gotten myself excited, probably for nothing. Oh well.

I kind of enjoyed Stratos 4, although I'm not sure I'd actually recommend it to anyone. The OP and ED are great (more so the OP, I think). I do think it would have been a better show without the aliens though. It certainly would have helped the sexual assault by a commanding officer on an isolated space station storyline that never really happened.

Update notes on the recent Viewster additions:
- Aria the Origination includes the Arietta OVA (listed as Episode 15) and Episode 5.5: In That Secret Little Place special (listed as Episode 6)
- Fushigi Yuugi is the OVA version
- Rental Magica is English dubbed only
- Saber Marionette R includes both the original Japanese audio and English dub
- The Third: The Girl With the Blue Eye is English dubbed only

And The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls are once again simulcasting on Viewster with this season's episodes (Episodes 14 and 15 are on the service).
