They have also apparently added Beck, Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact! and Mushishi for the UK, Ireland, Portugal and various other European countries, but I can't find them...

They have, but the links are down. I've told them their current URLs aren't working on Twitter. Should be fixed asap.

Viewster have said these should be the links to the three titles (pages are still down):
- Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad
- Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact!
- Mushi-Shi

Also:
Any more anime coming?

Is is too much to hope that Andrew's got his mits on Mushi-Shi and that's why it's showing up on UK stream sites...

I wish, so bad.

Looks like it came from the same source as Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, both being FUNimation shows formally distributed by Revelation Films. If you read AL's reaction to the suggestion they had a deal with FUNimation, they don't deny it. They only deny having seen anything with regards to Fairy Tail...

But I probably shouldn't be getting your hopes up.

While not impossible, Mushishi is licensed in the UK by FUNimation (like Gunslinger Girl and Ouran etc.)

Did you read Andrew's comments on the claims Anime Limited had a deal with FUNimation?

Back from Manchester and mostly recovered! While I normally wouldn't chime in on another distributor's discussion thread, since we've been dragged into this I figured I'd drop in ;).

This is all pretty much news to me I’m afraid! While I’m flattered Sempai has noticed me - I’ve nothing about Fairy Tail on my plate just now. If that changes I’ll let folks know though :).

Nobody likes a series half-finished though so I’d hope it continues to be on sale in the UK!

Does that not seem like he's avoiding the main question of an AL-FUNi deal there?

That said, if you had access to most of FUNi's very old and very new shows, I can't help but feel these aren't the ones you'd go for...

Mushishi does strike me as the sort of show Andrew might want actually.

Not to mention Andrew & co. seem to have a good relationship with Aniplex so they could even get the special and second season.

If these "Ultimate Edition" releases keep being successful, a Mushi-shi Ultimate Edition would be delightful. I guess it'd also need the movie to really be "Ultimate" (though not necessarily the live-action one, which still might be an interesting bonus).

As an aside, Anime Ltd. have put up a piece about Ultimate Otaku Teacher, a show that FUNimation seems to have, that is currently simulcasting on Viewster. It's written by a freelancer, but appears to read slightly like an advertisement? I've not heard anything positive about the series, but it seems to be vaguely popular, could AL be testing the waters?

I'm not certain, but I'm sure I heard that mixing titles from different distributors or production committees was near impossible to work out, so they probably couldn't include the first series from FUNimation and the second from Aniplex of America in the same set without a degree of hard work.

I could certainly see there being issues with it but if it was possible then I think Anime Limited would give it a go. I think it'd be worthwhile if they could pull it off, especially if they were the only ones doing it (or could work with others to distribute the costs).

They've been doing a few articles that don't seem to be directly related to anything they're working on so I wouldn't say an article alone is much to go on. I think they're trying to keep people visiting the site by having interesting things about anime related topics rather than only posting articles on their own products.

Interestingly... (Speaking of articles on the Anime Ltd Blog)

Their (Apparently Wordpress?) blog allows directory traversal on their images folder. e.g. http://blog.alltheanime.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/

I've occasionally had a browse for anything interesting as I assume wordpress has a feature where you can write an article but hold off publishing it. Although haven't spotted anything thus far... Different months are available e.g. September and October but from what I can see most images appear related to existing articles...

As far as I can remember this is the first time I've seen them write a blog about a title they don't have (and the first time I've seen them mention somebody else's title without saying so). Normally it's something with a link to their work, even if slightly tenuous.

Though, the impression I get is that Viewster might have paid a lot more money for it than it was worth (weirdly, it seems to quite popular, given all the professional reviews are abysmal), and AL may be doing them a solid.

There was that post on "Inside Out", they do talk about their own titles there but I don't think it's likely they'd be releasing it. I don't think they have anything for Mikagura School Suite either (although I do get mixed up about what they do have or what they might almost certainly have but haven't announced or whatever). There may be others but it could just be that I'm not paying enough attention.

It does seem likely that writing about things on Viewster is a factor though. The two seem to be getting along well and encouraging people to watch things on Viewster is worth it for AL since they have a few shows on there too (even if the show they're talking about at the time isn't one of them).

I have confirmation from Viewster that Beck and Mushishi will not be available on Viewster for the UK due to the change in regions.

On the upside, we have Demon King Daimao available with all 12 episodes in Japanese w/English subtitles.
