As much as I love MD Geist... 8/10 seems "generous".

I'm a sucker for old cyber punk futuristic robot fighting space anime, these sort of anime in my opinion is what anime should be......instead of young kids who gets powers and there still in school, . Iv got no problems with this but it's nearly ever series, with oldies like this there adults and its futuristic and space fights and its very mature with its guro and nudity........... I know there's fan services anime but with oldies they don't make it obvious they don't put fan services just to please the fans but it's goes with the story and its mature,

A little mature anime for adults would be nice too you know and that is what this series like nearly all oldies gives us, well series like this but I guess you know what I'm talking about.

Dragonball Curse Of The Blood Rubies

Wow this was AWFUL!!!! (note: i watched the version that was featured with the Dragonball season 1 release)

Where do i even begin with this movie? Ok first of all, making a movie adaptation of the first story arc of an anime series is EXTREMELY stupid and lazy. Even though it had a few changes, it was still lame! We've seen the first arc in the series, WHY DO WE NEED A MOVIE ADAPTATION!?!? Second, You really re-used stock footage from Episode 2? Really? *facepalm* Third, why did they have different voices actors? They weren't bad or anything, but i would have preferred the voice actors from the Dragonball series.

Overall, Don't watch. just don't

When they cry -

Brakeout:

Pretty good it's like series ......Well it is just like the series but I read somewhere that this was supposed to have a few more other episodes to it to make a different story apart from the series and to be honest I enjoyed it as much as I like the series wish it continued its story or its spin off.

9/10

Cat killing special:

This takes place between season 1 and 2 and it shows us the mystery of two people who died years ago and our main characters are discussing what might of happened to them but it is park of the series it's just as creepy as the series but not as scary and again it's good.

9/10

Rei:

Rei is about rika and she ends up in a world where the dam is going to be built and there was no ..................don't want to spoil anything, and its a good what of story. But two of the episodes are silly but besides those this episode is good

8.5/10

Kira:

This part of the series is crap it's just silly nonsense that would of been better if it didn't exist it didn't have that what the series had and it was all cutsy and happy but I guess that was a nice change of pace.

Porco Rosso (1992)

Having decided to rewatch this after a long number of years, it suddenly hit me that this film, about the pig-faced airman and his adventures in the Adriatic, was the first thing I ever watched, after I knew what anime was. It's definitely tinged with melancholy, yet, aside from that truly haunting scene where Marco recollects his experiences of the Great War, I was surprised to see that it's a far lighter and much funnier film than I remembered.

Back in the day, I watched Porco Rosso, then Totoro in quick succession, as both were showing on Sky at the time. Perhaps not surprisingly, it was the latter I was more enamoured with, but now, I really appreciate this one a lot more and I think it might well be my favourite of the Ghibli canon to date. If nothing else, it does make me feel that I really ought to go back and fill in the gaps, as there's still quite a few Ghibli films I haven't seen.

Cutie honey 1973

Oh God talk about retro, this series is supposed to be the first ever fan services anime and I can sort of see why.

This has a monster of the week theme and she kills them in order to avenge her father..........Yeah I didn't like that idea

It's soooooo old in everything

Animation
Charecters

I'm glad I watched this and happy I finished it.

The Movie was made mainly as re-cap, so that newcomers we hadn't seen the original opening episodes could watch the series without watching the first saga. Also to add some 'appeal' to current fans it extended the story with new characters and enemies - but yea overall it was lazy.

In terms of the audio well, as i mentioned in my review, the First Movie at that point hadn't been dubbed by FUNimation, so Madman opted to use the BLT Productions English dub a Dub which not only used different voice actors but was edited compared to the original movie.

Anyway last series i watched was Fractale on DVD (via Manga UK), i'd rate it about 5/10 (had its good and bad moments) but there was some issues with the disc.

My Little Monster - This is quite a precious little Rom-Com, that did a good job of managing its then-unfinished source material. The comedy was on that rare level that had me physically laughing rather than just politely acknowledging the funny elements, which would put it amongst the likes of K-ON! and Genshiken.

The only slight word filter in the armor is that the characters are... a bit annoying, on the whole. This isn't something that denotes a lack of quality writing, and certainly isn't a result of the top-tier voice cast, but is more built in to the design of the show. The more convincing you make your insecure, kooky teenagers, the more things they are likely to do to make you want to slap some sense into them - and nowhere is that more true than the lead couple in this anime.

The standout character is easily Natsume. Not only is she the most sympathetic, she has the strongest development over the course of the thirteen episodes and is in many ways the emotional heart of the series. I just hope Sasayan stops ????ing about and admits his obvious love for her sometime soon.

I can dig that review! I actually agree with it for the most of it, I did indeed want to slap sense into both of them nearly constantly, but that was all part of the ride. That frustration would make me hate a lesser show, but this was just so well written, and in weird way convincing, as you point out.

Hahaha, yeah Natsume is pretty good.

I give that review 9/10 Was worth the wait.

:D Thanks. I agree it was part of the ride, it didn't really lessen the show for me on an objective level, just subjectively it meant I felt the tiniest bit less attachment to the characters.

Last Exile - Fam The SIlver Wing

Sequel to the anime which is perhaps my favourite series of all time. Though it doesn't match it's predecessor it provides a great follow up story and a rather gripping one at that. Excellent cast of characters, a great soundtrack and glorious Range Murata character designs. Loved it.
