Post a photo of your entire anime collection!

I hope you manage to get the S2 artbox, Lemon. :)

Ahryt, I thought it may have been you who out bid me a few weeks back, ended up going down stairs to make tea with 5 mins left and got sidetracked so missed the end of the auction lol I'm not very good at the eBay lark.

Don't worry, that's happened to me a lot of times too.

I tidied my shelves the other day. Behold the contents!

Very Niceu Owly. Some really nice DVDs. I wish I had bought the artbox Azumanga Daioh, Patema UE, Toradora, etc.

Also, tidied shelves are always better. :)

Yeah, I moved into this flat just over a year ago, and given that the shelves are stacked 3 deep, sometimes when I bought new things I couldn't be arsed to rearrange them. They were all just stacked on top for ages. So I waited until I was done with uni and did it all in one go. It's much tidier now and I'm a lot happier.

Finally got a chance to sort all my stuff out and take photos of it all. Some stuff is double stacked on the shelves, hence the doubling up of some of the photos.

Are the CDs also anime related?

Also, I see Firefly. Yay!

Also also, do you have all the Ghibli films? I can only see some of them, though maybe I'm just not paying attention.

Haha, yes, I'm in the middle of watching Firefly - I picked it up off Amazon for a tenner ages ago and never finished it.

And nope, the CDs aren't anime related - a bit of a holdover from my old hobby of music collecting. And those are all the Ghibli films I have, I usually ask for them for birthday or Xmas presents as it's easier for people to understand that than 'Hey, can you buy me this thing called High School DxD please!'

It's pretty good that you can get the Firefly Blu-ray so cheap. I'm never sure if I should encourage people to try it because it's great or if it's better if they haven't seen it since they won't be left wondering when the rest is being made. Something like 13 years and I'm still not over it. I guess if you believe that "it's better to have loved and lost" then it's worth it.

It is kind of tough to find things to ask for from "normal" people, I got some of my Ghibli films the same way (though ended up buying most myself because I'm impatient). You need to get Only Yesterday and Whisper of the Heart, well maybe you don't but those are my favourites. Maybe you'll be lucky and Only Yesterday will have a Blu-ray release you can ask for by the end of the year. I can live in hope. I found My Neighbours The Yamadas surprisingly enjoyable too, I don't hear people talk about it much.

I was trying to work out what CDs Lutga had there, but all I can make out is "Maximum Girls Aloud" and the less I say about that the better. Both you and Owly have some nice stuff there though (everybody has all these nice AL releases I can't really afford any more, damn it). And heh, stuff in boxes due to lack of shelf space, I know that feeling.

*pins Smeelia conclusively to "person of discerning taste" column*

Agreed, Only Yesterday and Whisper of the Heart are the best Ghibli films so I'm glad others share that sentiment! I'd throw Porco with them as the three best Ghibli Films :) Also, it goes without saying, nice collection Lutga!

Thanks for the comments guys! I kinda wish I could downsize more of my series that are made up of multiple volumes, but equally, I kind of like how they look on the shelf (I just stick to Region 2 stuff).

I'd kill for someone to re-release stuff like Noir, Tsubasa and Excel Saga as complete sets over here.

Nice collection Lutga, just hits you in the face and says ANIME, being double stacked like that.
