Kaleid 2wei OVA will not be included with the Sentai release.
I got further verification on this from S23. Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei! OVA will not be included with the home video release.

Oh bugger

Looking at that thread has made me realise we also don't get the specials from season 1 (but do get the OVA)

Pretty weird distribution of what the US can/can't have. Should we take this to be a reverse import measure?

I'd say contractual difficulties is probably the more likely answer. However, unless it's something like different production committees, Sentai probably won't actually say that.

If I remember correctly, didn't Manga UK face a similar issue when they were trying of putting together a Mamoru Hosoda boxset for the release of Wolf Children, due to the rights to the movies being held by different companies?

NIS America have announced new details and release schedules for Love Live! School Idol Project's two seasons.

I wonder how long it's going to be before they announce the dub cast. February isn't far off and I think that good VAs are especially vital to this show given how character/personality driven it is.

Did they dub season 1 when they released the premium edition or is ths dub only for this re-release?

I don't know, but probably. Andrew Partridge has talked before about how mixing shows from different production committees in the same product is near impossible to clear. So the poster hoping for the boxset of the 2004 Hanna and Alice with the recent animated film is probably out of luck...

An interesting note from Robert's Anime Corner Store regarding the status of Shakugan no Shana Season 3 Part 2.
"We do not currently have an ETA on this item from Funi but we expect it to be a few weeks. Shana 3/2 seems to be one everyone is looking for right now and a lot of Funi catalog SKU's are going to be unavailable for awhile while they make the transfer over to Universal for their distribution."
Basically Universal's deal with Funimation is screwing up Funi's stock.

I wonder how the dub will handle the songs? Will they attempt to dub them all or do a K-ON! and leave them intact; having the characters speak English but sing Japanese?

Love Live strikes me as a series that really should have been left as sub-only. K-ON! The Movie shown why dubbing that franchise was a bad idea and that will only repeat itself with Love Live! The School Idol Movie in particular.

It's already been confirmed that the songs will remain in Japanese (like AKB0048 on Sentai's release).

Speaking of Love Live!, the prices are confirmed.
S1 SE: $59.99 SRP
S2 PE: $69.99 SRP

Really? I love the K-On Dub. I've never seen the Japanese but I honestly can't imagine the characters having any other voices.

Ah finally a date for Love Live! School Idol Project Season 2, although i wonder if 14/02/16 is actually correct, as that's a Sunday :)

I might be mad, but weren't the songs in K-On! left in Japanese in fact I'm certain that all the songs in the series and the movie were kept in Japanese and the only English versions were the ear cancer causing songs that were included as bonuses on the first season singles and weren't included in the Sentai release.

I won't be putting any money into the NISA love live season 2 release because of their decision to dub the series (since they only seem to produce train wreck dubs) and will be investing money into the Japanese release instead (I know I can change the audio options, but I'd rather not have any ear cancer on my releases anymore after experiencing a brief excerpt from the toradora dub).

Yes, it's very frustrating that we rarely get answers as to why we do/do not get a particular item.

I suppose even if it's posted politely a constant report to fans of we couldn't get xyz because they wouldn't licence it to us would build up even more bad feelings towards Japan than just not getting something.

It implies a degree of blame too, and I get the impression Japanese companies are sensitive to that type of thing.

Ultimately it's pointless giving out answers too, because even when you do, you still get the blame. Sentai still took huge amounts of heat for not including the Gatchaman Crowds OVA, even though they were probably telling the truth when they said they couldn't include it as it was a different production committee. People basically said Sentai were lying and they hadn't even tried to get it, so I could quite see them not making comments like that again...

I'm really really pleased with the quality of Sentai dubs so far. So with that being said.... how possible is it that we will see a Haikyuu dub sometime in the future? And how can we best raise the chances of that happening?

Thanks! We try our best to make you guys happy with everything that we put out.

Haikyu!! is something else, isn't it? As I'm sure you know, sports anime are always tough to put out here in America for some reason or another, but I think the climate has shifted enough for these kinds of shows to get a bit more attention.

Haikyu!! is probably one of our top sports titles, and every convention we go to we see throngs of Haikyu!! cosplayers and always get asked about the show specifically, and whether or not we are going to dub it in the future. Aside from Nozaki and SNAFU, I would say that Haikyu!! is the show we get asked about the most regarding a dub.

How can you lend a hand in making this happen? Same thing everyone at conventions are doing: tell us what you want. Straight up, head to our social pages and let us know, because if no one says anything, nothing get's done, right? Let your voice be heard, we're listening.

Will there be dubs for any licenses of last year?
Of course! Soon we will be announcing ███████ as well as ████ ██ █████ and finally ███ █ ███████ █ ████ ███ ██! Hope you enjoy! ;)
