I'll be very interested in this if it gets a UK Release.

If it does get a UK release expect Kaze to do as they tend to do Viz media's releases for Europe. We can only hope that someone else like AL or Animatsu/Manga get it.

Other expected news is Funimation with possible details on Evangelion: 3.33, and Netflix should also be announcing The Seven Deadly Sins at some point also.

I think I am going to buy the standard ed volumes of rooka. All the money will go to ponycanon and I'll be able to get a great series in Japanese blu ray quality for 100 max.

Yeah about that *quoting Mangaranga here*

Glad that there's finally a sensibly sized offering from Ponycanyon (**** those stupid oversized DVD cases). Rokka is one of two titles I actually want from them, and that's one of the issues preventing me from purchasing the show removed. The other is that at over $10 an episode, I'm not going to settle for anything less than a JP quality release - something which once again doesn't seem to be the case since the LE back lists 1 BD25. At the asking price, there is no reason whatsoever to cheap out for the US release - especially when this this the same company which claimed commitment to Japanese quality releases. For the record, Denki-Gai is the only PonCanUS release authored in Japan so far.

Basically Denki-Gai is the only PonyCan title to have Japanese quality.

Pony Can USA is just an excuse to charge fans more than a show is actually worth. I can understand actual JP releases being expensive because that is the market there, but PC USA is just splitting these shows into multi volumes so they can get more money.

With Yuki Yuna, at least they bothered to do a dub and include the soundtrack - there at least you could understand the cost a little.

I dread to think what they might do with Sound Euphonium though, especially if it means a UK release is off the cards for the immediate future.

I'm of no doubt the Rokka cheaper edition is simply because they're worried the show as a whole will sell poorly.

Which it will, considering they are still charging almost 3x as much but at a pretty meh quality. Annoying that this might be the only option to own the show in English for the near future. I really like the series and I really want a season 2 but £120 (probably going to be £40 per volume from UP1) for a mediocre release is too much (that's the same price as an AL ultimate edition for half the episodes, probably similar video quality and no special packaging).

I'd certainly hope they retool the animation quality from the streams too, because the show looked horrendous by the final eps. A shame as the early eps looked fantastic.

I'd buy the show cheaply if Manga released it with a dub, but it's not something I'm in a hurry to revisit anytime soon - just went off a cliff in the second half for me.

I really loved the series after episode 4 but I agree that they need to reanimate things. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they do because they better.

With the Autumn season already here, Sentai Spookworks have announced their acquisition for Utawarerumono -The False Faces- (UTAWARERUMONO -Itsuwari no Kamen-).

While many will be confused by this, Funimation's license to Utawarerumono Season 1 is slowly expiring alongside the other ADV rescues (which all went to S.A.V.E. by the way) and they had no plans to pick up the new season whatsoever.

For those wondering the Funimation ADV deal included these titles:

Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy
Air Gear
Air movie OOP
Air TV
Blade of the Phantom Master OOP
Comic Party: Revolution
Coyote Ragtime Show

Notes: No explanation for why the price of the LE is up but there might be something special added to it.

Here's an interesting fact - Kingdom was picked up back in 2012. That's four years it took to see a release. It was one of the few titles that many thought would never see a release ever in the US (the other titles still stuck in this situation are C³ -Cube x Cursed x Curious-, Rainbow and The Tatami Galaxy).

Aww, DVD-only for Kingdom. I might buy it anyway since I would like to eventually see it before I die of old age.

The publisher for TIR is Fuji Creative Corporation, but that standard edition SRP is huge for 11 episodes.

Anime Limited have apparently got Keith doing something nice for the series, so it'd probably be worth waiting for that. Just a shame they probably won't be able to clear either of the soundtracks.

I think the problem is that they've probably don't know if the demand is there for the show, heck they skipped out on Season 2. The fact that it managed to get dubbed in the end is surprising but I think it will at least help the show out in terms of sales.

If we all want Blu-ray and the later seasons then this is the only way to support the English release - by buying the DVD. I hear Kingdom is very good (with the manga selling like crazy in Japan). I'm willing to go after the set but we all know my budget situation.

Very much interested in Railgun and Terror in Resonance personally. I thought that we'd see the Railgun S collection after the JP BD Box release when it was announced, but I didn't imagine that we'd get it just two months after. Warner don't always seem to be so picky with holdbacks.
