Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

These volumes better be like £15 at the very most for the amount of episodes.

strange that its being split into two parts considering its a 13-episode anime series - unless I'm missing something

Well it's not strange over at Kaze France, they're doing the same.

It's apparently 12 episodes plus 2 OVAs.

But, heartily seconded. As far as I'm concerned, splitting a shorter series like that and charging a similar price for a 12 / 13 episode set would be a MASSIVE p*** take. So let's hope that's NOT the case.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a complete collection for shorter shows or nothing. Let's hope nobody's trying to set a precedent here.

One day, companies will stop licensing shows to sell in the UK, and people will wonder why.

When that happens, I suspect it'll be for the simple reason that UK fans aren't willing to support these kind of release plans. Nothing to wonder at. Simple as.

The SKU for Bleach s15p2 is probably KDVD2900 (EAN 3700091029009), since s15p1 was KDVD2899, s16p1 is KDVD2903 and 3700091029016 is a French Sailor Moon disc.

It doesn't seem to exist anywhere as of yet.

Manga UK have licensed Terra Formars for DVD and Blu-ray release; Part 1 is due out in August.

Manga have said it will be in two parts, so I assume Part 2 will be released by end of the year (strange that its being split into two parts considering its a 13-episode anime series - unless I'm missing something).

The only newly announced title from any of the UK companies that I have any intention of picking up.

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

So following on from MCM, I presume the state of play is that Manga as an entity is still only releasing titles they have ongoing licenses for, and anything new is going to Animatsu?

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

It looks like Manga are still in charge of the FUNimation arrangement (one brand new title from that pipeline is Noragami) and while they are part of existing franchises, the Madoka movies and that Dragonball one will be new licenses.

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

well manga were a huge letdown over the weekend, only four movies, compared to everyone else that's so little.

was hoping to see the second seasons of Freezing and High School DxD. I dunno what the whole deal with Magi is, amazon listed manga as the publisher but I have season 1 and only Kaze is on the box. either way would have liked to see season 2 of it as well.

Manga has went from being the biggest publisher to the smallest in less than a year.

Magi is a Kaze title. Manga just distribute it for them. Blame the whole Magi not appearing yet thing on Kaze being a terrible company, or better still, don't buy anything from Kaze anymore and with any luck they'll bugger off.

Biggest to Smallest? I highly doubt that. Biggest to second worst I think would be more appropriate. (See above for #1 spot)

Mail from Amazon - Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Part 1 and Part 2 - Beginnings/Eternal release date moved back to 10th August.

I'm not too fussed about this myself. Being right between KLK Part 3 in Early July (or late June depending on how long it takes to make new boxes) and Love Live in Late July meant I wasn't sure if I could get it or not on release but now it's been pushed back I may be able to.

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

Based on what I'm expecting to pick up, July and August both look horrendous! :D

Thinking about it, I still have Chuni at the end of August and DBZ Kai at the start. Oh well, so much for that. Seeing as the Madoka movies are recaps and I already own the series, it's low on my priority list.

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

I can't help but worry that movies 1 and 2 wont sell well (due to being recaps) and Manga deciding to not release 3 despite the fact that it's what everyone wants...

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

If they already went through with buying the licence, I can't imagine they'd scrap it in it's entirety. It would just be a waste of money otherwise. Better to turn a little profit than no profit, right?

Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th

Just so long as they don't figure that DVD-only is the way to go!
