Figure discussion/picture thread

I don't normally buy figures since I only like the big ones, and they're often a little too expensive then but I have ordered these 2 figures since I loved the Muramasa game and the Selvaria figure is just awesome.

Except I ordered them from united publications since they were the only place in the UK I could find selling them.

Other than that I just have a persona 3 Aigis figure and a sephiroth one.

Lots of places won't take pre orders on figures, it's very hard to know how many are going to be available. Epecialy here in Europe as not many get imported.
It's normal for there to be more pre orders than figures actually made (at least in the initial run). Selling them after you know how many you have means you're guaranteed to get it, preordering does not.

Sorry for the slow reply I went away for the weekend and didn't have my password.
I don't toute my tastes but I'll admit I only like buying the higher quality figures. Seamless (no joints) and well detailed ones from good series and games. Still that's all preference really as I almost bought the Halo figure and I love Halo but it's got a lot of haters too.

That is troubling and I hope I get atleast one of them but they are very expensive so I either get the figures I want or save a lot of money that I'll chuck into a 3DS, new 360 or Steel battalion for my old xbox.
In the end if I don't get what I want then it can be replaced with other things so I'm not too invested overall.
 
i use united publications - cheap and quick. also used to use the anime store off Covent Garden before it disappeared...long live BOME! i recently quit buying models as i'm saving up for college, but some decent Lodoss/Queens Blade (or Irvine figure) stuff wouldn't go amiss, depends what I find out there^^

I agree there isn't enough lodoss figures i only know of 3 and there 11 years old =(

Finally my Kagura from Ga-Rei arrived today (was a bit surprised that it came within 2 weeks despite it being SAL delivery!)

Pretty nice looking figure i must say, very pleased with it :D

Will be keeping it in the box aswell, as there arent many samples of it out there, it was just pure luck that i managed to get it at £60+delivery on Play-Asia, as its rather rare
 
Nice find =3 she is a nice figure. I really want her and yomi but in the figma range but they seem to be out of stock every were.

Oh man, Miku Nendo. :s Really would like that, would have bought it last week at a small premium but was struggling for space in my luggage and budget. Also saw the Snow Miku Nendo for sale - for 10,000yen ^^; Would love to own that, but that is some serious dough.

Also saw some great forthcoming figures on display at Comike, but no photography allowed. :( Really, really looking forward to the Hinagiku Nendo, now, though.

Got Alter's Momohime recently, amazingly beautiful figure, maybe the nicest one I've seen in real life.

Got four more Puchi Nendos, courtesy of the Limited Edition of Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus. Kino, Shana, Taiga, and Index. ^_^

Need to get some photos sorted, but I need to steal Clouded's awesome camera, first. >_>

Ya im so pleased with my miku nendo =3 the snow miku is pretty cool but shes expesive.

there is quite a few figures coming out that are pretty nice. Im looking foward to the Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan figures coming out its just a shame there going to be 1/10 instead of 1/8

I got yesterday sengoku basara revoltech Ishida Mitsunari and Tokugawa Ieyasu now got all 6 of them i hope they do more character from it.

(Finally remembered where this thread was. I knew I found it last night)

Do you guys know if eyeonasia.co.uk is reliable or not? They have all the Basara revoltech's :x UP1 only has 2 of them and i'd like to add them to my collection.

Failing that, anyone recommend a good place for figures? I've only now got space for figures so i'm new to buying them.
 
Just got an order from them recently. I'd say they are dependable.

Just make sure you're either in to sign the package off or be prepared to go to the nearest Post office depo (or the likes). But I think that's with a lot of similar groups and items.

Figures don't fit through your letterbox. That's no diferent from any other parcel.
Does apear to be stocking shop exclusives, for silly money but it actualy lists them.

Toyslogic have a good collection of figurines but their shipping is quite expensive. My recommendation would be one site ilmae mentioned which is HobbySearch (1999), they have very good prices and you can choose which shipping you would like (i always use SAL if its available as its cheaper plus more likely to miss custom charges...at least thats how i found it so far!)
