I searched the show on MAL and it has a pg-13 rating so I dunno why that would happen... did a quick google image search and at a brief glance nothing untoward there either so I don't know what you googled to come up with such perverse results lol.

I have consulted Mary Whitehouse via Ouija board and Vash is quite correct. Observe here I have highlighted in red the sickening lolicon images, while I have used orange to indicate those with obvious allusions to sexuality such as obscene gestures, touching and holding phallic objects. Ordered this a while ago for 'collect at Kitacon' and it was Kitacon this past weekend so here it is.
I haven't opened it yet as I am exhausted from the trip so i'll do it tomorrow. The main appeal of this to me is the fact it has the Rainy Devil side you can change her into. I thought that was particularly awesome as I was cosplaying as RD at Kita. Plus Suruga is just an awesome character

As for Maru! I would wait, but then I don't order Beach Queens-esque figures at all, as I like to be able to put mine on display (you would think Inori would also suffer here, but it's a question of design principles).

So, that Erio Touwa Plum figure that apparently nobody wants to talk about? I went ahead and ordered it. I got a birthday around the time when I'll have to pay the CC bill, so I'll have some cash handy. Not giving it someone to wrap up for me ^_^;
It was a close-run thing between that one and this Kotobukiya figure, which is definitely more, um, "displayable", but doesn't capture Erio's personality quite as well, I think.

On topic. I have one anime figure, and unsurprisingly it's of Vash. Its not plastic, it's porcelain or something and stands on a black base which has some sort of song lyrics written in really poor English on it. Its comes with the cat too! I got it about 11 years ago (before I ever watched Trigun) and love it, but sadly it's not currently on display as I can't find a suitable place for it.

I think we've actually reached a fairly happy point where any and all fetishes are now catered for (hooray, conventional morality is dead, we're all free to be depraved, etc.) I've been more concerned with lack of variety in character design than anything, since cutesiness doesn't really do it for me either, but that does seem to be improving again.vashdaman said:

Well, other fetishes do certainly pop up from time to time in the world of anime, but scantly clad school girls still seem to have a near monopoly over the sexually frustrated otaku (in fact school kids seem to have a monopoly on the world of anime full stop). But yeah I agree with you on the cuteness aspect, but that sort of ties into the whole school girl youth thing as well, doesn't it. I just don't get it.
