No we don't that only deals with expicit stuff this was implied.
The BBFC rules on it shouldn't have been changed by that sexualised images of children have always resulted in BBFC cuts (see older releases).
That should only affect simple posession the restrictions on distribution are still the same.

Yay! Now I definitely own something that is mainstream anime and still seems to violate the Cartoon Protection Act. This is an awesome start.
 
It's probably not even the full second, it's just the BBFC website doesn't go any smaller than a second when detailing cuts. In total I'd guess it's about four frames, and I doubt it would be cut, as that would mess the sound up. They'll probably have to hold on an earlier image for a few frames longer.

And incidentally, if that is what is cut, then anime is f***ed in this country. What comedy anime doesn't have a scene like that. Negima anyone? Mahoromatic? The comedy paedo is an anime cliche. Say goodbye to Azumanga Daioh!

Anyway, nice to see the BBFC actually do something. I wonder what the US of A would think of this anime given that they had similar laws come into effect in 2003.
 
I'm pretty astounded by this thread.

1 second (if that) cut from a show? That's nothing. Similar sorts of cuts are made from mainstream movies all the time.

But I can see this both ways. Yeah, it seems ridiculous. Also seems slightly ridiculous to get too bothered about it.

Anybody got any idea what certificate this show is getting?
 
*cough* just a word of advice...make sure you have the "internet" completely off whenever you watch any sort of anime dvd which might have "1" second of explicite stuff! Who knows if Big Brother is watching your dvd player and going through your history if you were online lol

I think I'll stop trying to understand what the intentions behind some things you say are. Seems like a mixture of trolling and nonsense, as surely you must know it was released in the US last year with no furore. :?
