Beez Entertainment Discussion

Hey Andrew, are there likely to be any deals on Beez releases at the London Expo later this month? Want to know if it's worth ordering Bebop now or not..
Cheers ^___^

Tacit hints a-gogo (subject to change etc):

Cowboy Bebop Remix - £25
Sword of the Stranger 2 DVD set - £10
Code Geass Part 1 and 2 (not on high street til next month) - £25 each
Gurren Lagann LE 1 and 2 - £30 each
Gurren Lagann RE 1 and 2 - £25 each
Gundam 00 LE 1 - £30
Gundam 00 RE 1 and 2 - £25 each

Most other stuff will be in boxed or set format using the usual dotted price system (red dot = 1 for £15, 2 for £25, green dot = 1 for £20, 2 for £35, other dot, I forget which colours we have left, 1 for £25, 2 for £45). Will look to see if we can get Geass + GL at least into the last deal but that's subject TBC.

All single DVDs barring Haruhi (£10 a DVD or £30 for the 4 DVDs) are likely to be £5.

Basically I round the numbers by £5 in general in new titles max. Reason it is possible is at an event like Expo you don't have to factor in a distributor cut. It's also why you don't bring too much stock because I am not a fan of leaping on retailers toes either!

Call it a test if you will to see how it does though - while I know the general desire is for cheaper releases, I can't do that across retail wholly at least on new titles just now, I can at least test the market at Expo :).

Limited stock on all of the above so as not to leap on any of our good retail partners toes though so get 'em whilst you can :)!

Beez Blog will have an expo update soon. Sorry if I am slow to reply for the next week or so but I'm away in Tokyo on business so will be very busy I'm afraid!

I'll also have a bundle of announcements for London Expo for you guys so watch this space :D.

Is there any particular titles from our back catalog that people want us to bring too by the way and I'll see if we can do that or make sure we have enough of it at the event :)?

Hope this helps,

- Andrew

Is that £25 for the Cowboy Bebop Remix BOX?!

!!!

If so that is an amazing deal.

Yep - that's the remix box set - but as I say relatively limited stock to test the pricing waters so better get there sooner rather than later if after it!

Are you sure you didn't get Code Geass wrong as well? :) Fixed that on the homepage as well.

Fantastic prices Andrew. That has me sold on the Gundam 00 sets right away, can't go all the way to Expo and let them slip by for that price. Probably Code Geass as well.

My question is though will you be bringing any of the remastered Gundam Wing boxsets to the Expo and if so how much will you be selling them for. Will you also have the Eureka Seven and Gundam SEED Destiny box sets too, or at least the singles so i can clear them out for you instead.

What time will you be getting there Andrew? I've got an early ticket so I'll wanna pick some DVDs up REALLY fast. :O
£25 for the Remix set, Beez ROCKS!

Do you have a rough number for how many you will bring with you by any chance?

Well that's £35 if not £65 down already. Just wish i could get a loyaty card or something.
By the by, when are the anime panels and talks? In May didn't find out the were on the Sunday till I had bought my ticket. ALso what are the plans for Masahiro Ando and Masahiko Minami? Signings, talks, Q&A? The expo webiste is vaguer than be a 3 am without coffee.

Got my copy of Code Geass this morning. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed with the packaging, which consists of a two-panel digipack with no slipcover. On the plus side it's nice and compact, I guess, and the cover feels sturdy.

Ah mine came today too after all. And yeh they are, but with preorders I always get Play's on the release date. ALWAYS if not BEFORE. So while 3 day delievery is great, with preorders I do kind of expect it to arrive on the release date y'know?

Kinda annoyed the digipack sticks out from the rest of my dvds. I wouldn't mind packaging like this if it was the same size, but ah well.

So far so good, the subtitles even have the japanese lyrics for the OP which I don't think any of the manga entertainment animes do, so that was a cool bonus. Kinda odd there's only one picture drama ep though =/ seems weird, why not do all of them?

There will be:

- Signings both days from Ando-san and Minami-san - will confirm times soon but there'll be once x Minami-san and Ando-san on Beez's stand on Saturday then one of Minami-san on Manga's stand and Ando-san on Beez's stand at separate times.

- Panel on the Saturday about Studio BONES and your chance to put questions to them after they have presented BONES (be polite though please!)

- Panel on Sunday on Sword of the Stranger.

Industry panel should be on but I'm yet to get confirmation of a time or a date for it so watch this space :).

Hope this helps!

- Andrew,
Jetlagged and off for some sleep

Let us know the time of the industry panel as soon as you know. Fingers crossed its Sat.

And bring some of the older beez stuff along, I've got most of your DVDs now.
