Autumn 2015 Legal Anime Streaming Thread

I'm guessing Viewster have finally managed to work their problems out, because IIRC this is the first time they've given specific timings for simulcasts from the very start (aside from Naruto, but I think that's a delaycast?).

I noticed they've always seemed to be on-time for the Aniplex simulcasts (those titles are US only) but not for everything else.

I believe Aniplex provide their own subtitles, and re-encoding is relatively easy, so there was probably far less screwing around involved there. If they're reliant on FUNimation producing subtitles, sending a copy to licensor, the licensor sending a copy to Anime Limited and then Anime Limited sending a copy to them (as it was suggested they were with Arslan) you can see why it would be a lot harder to do...

Does Daisuke not do 1080p streaming? I was under the impression it did but One Punch Man is only available in 480p. Does 1080p come later or something?
You have to register/log in to get 720p and 1080p. Guests only get 360p and 480p.

I may have seen the pre-air preview of One-Punch Man. It's definitely worth registering/logging in to get in 1080p.

Confession: I forgot to log in when I watched One Punch Man, so only got to see it in 480p. It still looked great though; so I bet 1080p is a blast.

What's the chances of Viewster picking up Noragami season 2 (and one for that matter)? I love the first season and would love to watch second as it's airing without flying to Japan every week....I say Viewster, as if Animax have season 2 it's pretty much good to no one.
Since Animax have S1, there's no point in anyone else getting S2 unless they wrest S1 from them as well.

Only two countries that actually speak English as a main language, what's the point?

Also, is there a country called North or do they mean North Korea? Because I don't think they have to worry about North Koreans getting on the internet in order to watch it...

That "Korea, North" and "Korea, South". My script to translate the codes isn't all that intelligent. I suppose I could use semicolons as separators instead.

It's fine. I only skimread it too, it's my fault for missing Korea, South listed after it.

It is weird though that Sunrise seem to be retaining all rights for the series and subtitling it themselves, but they aren't making it available on their own YouTube channel, the one place casuals interested in Gumdam will probably know about...

CR still have five more new simulcast slots and one catalogue slot - I wonder what they are, considering the season has mostly started now? Are they all spaces for delaycasts that'll start next week?

Was tempted to think that the catalogue slot was either classic Lupin or the original Utawerurmono.

If I had to guess, I think one will be Prison School's live action drama which starts in October. No clue what the other four are though.

Hell, I'd watch Prison School just to see the directorial choice they make. If it's actually good maybe they'll win people over...

Hmm.. well with regards to Lupin Crunchyroll already has the three main Part shows (they apparently already had Part II so they needed Part I & III which they now have) so I'll bet that they're aiming to get Part IV for a delaycast much like what they did with Magic Kaito. For TMS reasons it'll be US & Canada only.

As for Utawarerumono it's possible but Funimation has the license as part of the ADV deal which is close to expiration.

Anything else, these lot should appear at some point for Crunchyroll:
- A Chivalry of the Failed Knight (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry) *Delaycast*
- Anitore! EX (Anime de Training! EX)
- AntiMagic Academy 35th Test Platoon (Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai)
- Brave Beats
- High School Girl Meals (JK Meshi!)
- Is the Order a Rabbit?? (Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka??)
- Magical Somera-chan (Fushigi na Somera-chan)
- Shomin Sample (Ore ga Ojousama Gakkou ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Gets♥Sareta Ken)
- Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note
- The Testament of Sister New Devil Burst (Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst)
- Yuru Yuri San☆Hai!
