Autumn 2015 Legal Anime Streaming Thread

Really bummed AoT isn't coming to the UK in some form. Really wanted to watch it. I guess I'll have to wait for the home video release next year.

Crunchyroll might be able to get it, they did manage to stream the main series.

Ah, I thought Region Locked meant that it wasn't coming here at all.

Ah. My way of making these posts can confuse people but pretty much 'Completely Region Locked' applies to Crunchyroll catalogue titles and Funi titles because there's basically no chance of them ever allowing titles for us on those sites (unless a miracle happens). I've added the Alternate Solution slot as a way to let people know if there's another streaming site that they can use to watch that particular show. Specific Region Locked applies to Crunchyroll, Daisuki and Viewster titles as there's a chance it will be available on either one.

All Funi titles have 'None (as of yet)' under the Alternate Solution because Daisuki and Viewster might save the day.

There's no way FUNimation are letting that one slip away from their greedy clutches now. Crunchyroll licenced the first season before FUNi did and then reached a deal to keep it up, I don't think FUNi would them have a new series for a series that's clearly going to sell well.

I thought Crunchyroll had it on a week's delay?

Edit: Yes, it starts airing on Japanese TV, Daisuki and GundamInfo on Sunday and then on Crunchyroll a week later.

Will have to watch gundam on daishiki damn
AoT means season 2 will been FUNi too disgraceful considering its one of the biggest series' around they should allow a legal way of watching in the UK of course if i had to do i will DL it weekly like i do with DBS

Wouldn't be surprised to see AOT: Junior High on Viewster via Anime Limited. There's no way any AOT title won't be streamed in the UK unless there's some sort of issue where A/L couldn't get the UK rights & given their growing relationship with Funi ..

What relationship with FUNi? The only AL title we know with 100% certainty that FUNi had some kind of UK rights for is The Rolling Girls...

That said, Andrew Partridge has been delivering the same very carefully worded statement when asked about it, so maybe there is something going on.

It should be up on YouTube the same day if that works for you...

UPDATED INFORMATION - CATALOG - OH DEAR EDITION:

009 Re:Cyborg
Original Japanese Title: 009 Re:Cyborg
Site: Animax UK
Language: Japanese w/English subtitles? English Dub? Eh?
Regions: United Kingdom and Ireland.

That's the generally accepted view, but to our knowledge they no longer have any UK partner. Daisuki got a few FUNi shows last season, as did Animax UK and I believe Viewster got one (Hetalia: The World Twinkle) too, so maybe it will end up somewhere, but I wouldn't be 100% confident it will.

I think Viewster will get it with AL support due to they can't prevent a AoT (even a spinoff) not be streamed her

Again, AL does not (to our knowledge) have a deal with FUNimation to sub-licence titles. They certainly don't have as wide ranging a deal as Manga UK, as there are FUNi titles they don't have, including Rampo Kitan from director Seiji Kishi, who Andrew is quoted (admittedly in an AL press release) as being as fan of.

I assumed that these are the shows that Viewster got from Funi from what I believed:
- Death Parade (expired)
- Fairy Tail Series 2
- .hack shows [Legend of the Twilight, SIGN, Roots]
- Hetalia: The World Twinkle
- Mikagura School Suite
- Ninja Slayer From Animation
- Ouran High School Host Club (expired)
- Prison School
- The Rolling Girls (expired)
- Snow White with the Red Hair
- Yatterman Night (expired)
