Don't worry about it, like I said, its obvious that the response in regards to the box has been very positive by everyone here and on your social media channels to say the least and again I noted the surprise that you went out of your way to not only delivery one of the more requested items for the KLK set but also put effort into the box itself instead of going to easy way out, I guess I've just been burned plenty times over and in the end prefer the easy way. The stripes was just a silly ocd gripe, one that I have whilst understanding why it's designed the way it is in the first place and again is something that 99.99% of the people buying this will have no issues with, because in the end there is no issue. Is the lid hinged or removable? Because if it was removable then that would be a lot better.

It's removable - I only would do hinged if I had something like a Gurren Lagann style cover where I could lose hours in the office making the box talk to me by moving the hinge. Thankfully for all minions in office, this is not a concern for KLK ;)!

AP

Well, you could of had Senketsu's face on the front of the box, with the inside of the box being red, so when it was opened and closed it would look like he was talking...

Knowing how long the GL one was in approval for, I shudder at how long that would take :p! The idea did cross my mind though!

Wow hadn't noticed Nerima Daikon was out at the end of May! I thought it was still in limbo haha looking forward to more AL classic rescues even if they're DVD only it's still great to see series that came out in the states years ago finally make it to these shores :)

Yeah, properly excited about Nerima Daikon Brothers - hopefully we'll get to see some packaging/cover art soon.

This may be a borderline risky thing to post here, but...

I just received the check discs for Wings of Honneamise ahead of my review for AUKN (on DVD AND Blu-ray, no less) and...

Picture quality on both is amazing. Really feel this is going to be the definitive edition for UK fans.

Oh wow, don't scare me like that haha. The feeling of dread I had while I started to read what you wrote, bloody hell

Any chance of a Durarara X2 release over here in future? I'm just asking given Aniplex has rather quite quickly released a dub onto streaming channels in the US

Now, that would have been funnier if Andrew had said it!

(Also, I just noticed from your avatar deets you're in Plymouth? Just down the road from me! Awwwk!)

dont know if this was an accident but i received my copy of Royal Space Force collectors edition blu ray today.

I think that just happens when companies send out pre orders expecting them to arrive on release day but end up getting shipped faster than they thought. Happened to me when I pre ordered the Gurren Lagann Blu Rays, got the set about 2 days early.

My copy of Honneamise arrived too! Completely unexpected as the Blu-Ray isn't out for another 10 days!

Thanks very much Anime Limited! :) Nice surprise to watch for the weekend!

Ha I remember when I received my Ghost in the Shell Steelbook from Zavvi on the 12th of September which was 17 days before it released, that was a nice surprise :p Enjoy your copies of Royal Space Force guys!

I'll be hunkering down tomorrow after I've had a good long session at my drawing board to compose the review for the site.

SPECIAL ADVANCE EXCLUSIVE HdE MINI REVIEW FOR THIS THREAD ONLY:
This film is spectacular and EVERYBODY should buy a copy.

Hi Andrew,
Have you found someone to author Gankutsuou?

Do you think our blu ray can be better quality then what was released in Japan or are you still assessimg your options?

Had a listen to the podcast while wrapping up work tonight (this morning). This is proving to be a very informative and greatly entertaining feature. Keep 'em coming, guys!

Loads of interesting stuff here. Hearing about the distributors' wishlists is a tantalising detail. I'd kill to know what's on 'em!

Escaflowne gets another mention, I see, and it's actually something I'm really getting excited for. That directors cut is becoming a big selling point for me, personally.

Also really loved the question (and Andrew's lengthy answer) about the most expensive license he's dealt with. Lots of fascinating stuff there. I'd suspected for a while that the business concerns attached to what Andrew refers to as 'nostalgia shows' might not be as clear cut as all that.

One comment worth tossing in here, as it came up in the podcast: Outlaw Star on BD? If you do it, I will buy. Anime Limited re-releasing something I already have in superior quality = me totally content to double-dip. I keep saying to myself I'll pick up the DVD, but hesitate. Blu ray would make it unmissable, though, and rocket it to the top of my shopping list. Well... just under rent, milk and eggs.

My personal opinion on Outlaw Star - leave it a little bit longer for the Blu-Ray. I'm sure it's something people would want, myself included, but if it were to come out soon-ish, I think I'd feel a little cheated by having to double dip so soon.

Great news about all the goodies coming with Part 2 of Space Dandy - that sounds really cool.

I'd definitely be up for more Kickstarters once Mai Mai Miracle is done and dusted too - anything that helps get more obscure shows into the hands of fans is good in my books.

Is there a page for the recent sales figures?

Not at the moment as something's come up with getting the info this time around, but hopefully we'll be able to share this soon.

Glad you liked my question! I was a bit worried that people would find these sort of things boring/would want to hear Andrew answer questions about up coming releases etc instead
