UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Why is this being diverted to the Perfect Blue UE we havent even seen that yet, so again im waiting for the price on that too. And is the new author UE exclusive I wonder.
Because I'm hoping our lord and savior El Presidente could offer an update, considering no one asked AL during MCM weekend.

I don't mind it being delayed to 2019 if it means more time spent on quality control for the disc, considering the first release had some issues. There is also the possibility that GKIDS may have taken over the authoring hence the delay.

GKIDS which is why Fireworks was delayed and people laughed when I joked that they were getting it first months ago.
Also if this Perfect Blue reauthor is UE Exclusive I wont buy it as I dont want a repeat of FMP

If the Bebop CE was cheaper, maybe MSRP £150 or so, then there wouldn't be as much complaining about this.

£300 is insane, I'm sorry. The series is around £30 for the standard edition, which is a good value, but 10x for an artbook (cool), CDs I can import from JP if I wanted, the movie (nice, but not the best version), and a travel Vinyl case which looks cool from a design standpoint, but I'm not sure what use I'd get out of it.

I'm upset it doesn't have re-authored discs, but more so at the price. (Plus, I'd feel betrayed if those re-authored discs were from France. Justin or Luca. Luca or mp3dom speaks good English, and because he works in the anime industry, albeit one in Italy, he could catch on to whatever AL would want him to do if he's hired in his free-time. He's an employee, not a freelancer.)

I feel like that's a false equivalency. The current price on the store is the RRP, it'll come down a fair amount by the time you get the EB and/or other retailer discounts. I imagine it'll fall closer in price to FMA, albeit perhaps slightly more expensive.

Yeah, I'm curious who did Amanchu. That turned out really good except for the brightness issue and low average bitrate.

There's no credit on the disc or booklet, so I'm curious. The encoder is competent enough to have massive bitrate spikes in key scenes.

I was told Geass was by the same person which is why im curious ( As i dont want Amanchu unless AL gets s2)

That's true, but with FMA, it had twice the episode count. Even if we ignore the fact they both re-use discs (Bebop- AL's BD, and FMA- FUNi's BD), the FMA one wins by value. I like the packaging, though others might not, and the episode-to-pound ratio is decent, so that's my issue. FMA did more at a similar price.

I'm sure they'll be really convinced to license season 2 and pay for a bluray to be authored if people like you don't pick up season 1.
Oh yes ofc, it would be my fault. Like Geass I aint buying cos no dub and it will get dubbed all my fault.
I assume AL would have factored in some people wouldnt buy unless S2 because I dont want a Free! scenario again with only one of the seasons.

I prefer Geass being released without having to wait for a **** dub.

Amanchu Season 2 isn't anywhere near as good, so if anything, they should be expecting a massive drop-off of sales from season 1 to season 2

I dont care for the dub really but its an incomplete release and the worst CE ive from AL. Fireworks has a ******* better one. I aint paying the same as Fireworks for a worst CE (AL Set the pricing of all films are equal so they are comparable). And Geass was shown in cinemas and should have an SE which I would snap up.

Oh Im opinionated yet no one else is at least I can be honest. I stick to my opinions because I do think Geass and Bebop is overpriced and why im stubborn over both is because im disappointed by both of them. And lets ignore that I love ALs March **** who cares about that im being negative about something else.
