How many channels are the English dub in Tokyo Ghoul - Collector's Edition?

It's 2.0 or 5.1?

I don't know if this blu-ray is the same as the space dandy which is 2.0 in English dub and funimation BD is 5.1。
They're using Funi's master for Tokyo Goul, so the content will be near enough identical. Short answer, 5.1.

Dandy was a bit of a peculiar one since it was released here before Funi released it in America. I can only assume the 5.1 upmix was not available when production started on the home video release (The JP BDs have stereo engdub too). I don't have a surround setup personally, but I preferred the stereo track since I find the sound levels on Funi's 5.1 mixes to be all over the place (too quiet most of the time and then too loud the next).

Thanks for your answer.

Another question is about the Gurren Lagann BD,maybe a little bit stupid.

I have bought the Gurren Lagann Ultimate Edition pre-ordered from the amazon.co.uk 8 month ago.

I haven't watch it yet.

In this title it said.

Gurren Lagann (Anime Limited): Official post highlighting three video issues and a possible audio anomaly on some players. Replacement digipaks are available if your set has a weak tray. It's not a glitch, but some of the original dub lines don't match the updated visuals.

I just want to know when the video issues happened.(The link is not available now)I don't know that my edtion is the broken one or the fine one.

So I can decide to buy a new one or not.I think now the blu-ray should be the BD with the fine video in amazon.co.uk.

Wait, who said I didn't have physical rights for G-Reco?

Ah! That's my bad for taking somebody else's word for it and not asking directly myself.

Some days, you're my favourite person on the planet, Andrew.
(And I know some pretty cool people.)

The defective disc thread links to viewtopic.php?f=36&t=16462&start=915#p457355, which explains the issues.

Judging from that post they basically changed the masters so lip flaps would better match the JP audio, meaning the English audio suddenly looks silly. Nothing AL could do about that, there's only 1 version of GL on BD.

i pre ordered kill la kill part 3 from zavvi 18/04/2015 tho they still havent sent it saying there waiting for supplier to get more stock anyone else had tht or should i quickly order it else where before the box is gone?

I ordered Cowboy Bebop out of stock and it took them about a week to dispatch it, but it's weird for it to happen on a new release title.

I remember reading on NeoGAF that Zavvi didn't have stock of Steins;Gate (game) on release date. It's happened with other anime titles as well.

I'm sure either Andrew or Jeremy said that they'd make an announcement when the box was nearly sold out so I don't think you need to worry about not getting a copy.

Indeed we will. (I've been getting a lot of people asking about that same subject (through email, facebook, twitter, etc) and trust me we'll make it known when there's an update about the availability of the box. But in the mean time no matter where people buy it from they'll get the collector's box. (It's the only version available right now so there it literally no chance of anyone not getting it :) )

To be honest I don't know what's going on there, you're not the only person to mention that. We're looking into it so hopefully we/Zavvi will have an update on this soon.

There is only one version of the Gurren discs on the UK market (which have the issues stated). I think you may be confusing it with the Durarara!! discs which were replaced.

[Wakes up abruptly] That said, there's obviously still a way to go. I'd not been aware that Anime Limited didn't have physical media / home video rights for G Reco.

Dagnammit.

EDITED TO ADD: That column on ANN is always a fantastic (if slightly uncomfortable) read - it's given me a ton of much needed insights since it started up.

Wait, who said I didn't have physical rights for G-Reco?

AP

I was told this via a twitter conversation a while ago. I asked if I could put the title onto the schedule here for physical releases and was told you "didn't have them, but were looking into it" (something along those lines) To be fair to whoever told me, it was some time ago .. possibly even when the title was still airing.

Can I put the physical rights on the schedule now then?

Has anyone received their replacement kill la kill vol 3 from the mcm expo? I know the last update said they were being sent out last week, I'm just curious if dispatch has happened yet?

Sorry for the delay on that. We're working on that this week now the packing material has arrived :)

That's an interesting license. Seems they're mixing it up this season and going for something a little different.
Now pick up Rokka and GATE please. :)

I think Wakanim is still going in France? I see the occasional Facebook update in French from them.

What about Animax (ha) - have they announced anything new recently?

They said on one of the podcasts, that the numbers weren't bad for Wakanim, and the Wakanim team had learnt a lot from their brief foray in the UK, but had decided to focus on France.
