Mine only works spine facing down too. I thought I got a bum copy or something the first time I tried putting it back together and it wouldn't come back out. It's really odd how it only works in a particular way. The thickness of the contents doesn't change, so why does it only easily come out when it's put in one way?

I was beaten to it, but as sniper_samurai said make sure you have it positioned like so:

My new replacement copy does exactly the same. If I have the spine facing the top (Green side of the booklet facing out) then it does indeed get stuck.

No good i'm afraid, I already had the spine downwards just with the book and digipack in reverse positions. Switching them round has not helped.

Where did you order it from? Will help me figure out what happened but that is super weird - can send a replacement digipack from our office if that helps too?

It's really weird - I have no idea so am looking into it :).

It would be great to know, thanks.

I believe I've found the issue - with mine at least. It's actually nothing to do with the book or the new box, it's actually the digipack. Mine is ever so slightly thicker on the top.

To anyone who has the issue when the spine is facing the top of the box, try storing the digipack upside down too. You'll probably find that it will fit exactly the same as when both are stored the suggested way. Storing the digipack upside down as well as the booklet with the spine facing down also results in both getting stuck.

Screw you Anime LTD, your releases are so cool that my wallet will be suffering at least until the end of the year :(

I only just noticed it on UP1, so I was expecting news on it soon. The Origin set looks incredible, but that price. :'(

Just pre-ordered mine too - guessing the other two parts will follow next year, if they are indeed just sticking to four volumes.

Have Anime Ltd considered / able to sell the non collectors edition? I would like the content (ended up importing regular edition of Origin I) but at £1/Minute this price is a little steep for me. I'd happily buy the regular edition from Anime Ltd if they were to provide the option at a reasonable price point.

I'm sure Anime Ltd would do a standard edition if this was one of their regular releases but this isn't as their Gundam Origin sets are just the japanese sets imported over here. (At least i think that's how it works)

As I understand it there are two sets available in japan. The collectors edition and the standard edition. The standard edition is about 1/3rd of the price of the collectors edition. Standard edition comes without the big box (just BR box + a book with some art in it).

Anime Ltd are only importing the collectors edition hence the pricetag... If they could do the same with the standard edition it may make it more accessible to a lot more people. Aside from the price the other point for me is the abnormal box size - I wouldn't have anywhere to put it but the standard edition would fit nicely on a shelf.

Only the Collector's is available for us alas - but we will look down the line how best to do a lower priced edition as well but won't be this year alas! May have some other mecha news soon though!

Are there any concrete details or times for the panels at Manchester comic con available yet, does anyone know?

I'd like to try and catch the Anime Limited panel if possible for any potential gundam goodness!

Very excited if this = more Gundam.

Also, not sure if anyone else heard it but pretty sure I remember the UK Anime Network podcast suggesting someone had the original 2005 series of Fafner, so wonder if that comes into the mix somewhere too?

Haven't got confirmation on dates/times for panels at the event yet. Once we know we'll be sure to say :)
